(A poets pub submission)

Once upon a time, when time was young
And when clouds of dust and gases hung

In space as a solar nebula
With action of gravity's formula

The mess, the chaos began to spin
And so the sun had a big wide grin,

Everything else began to cluster
Hydrogen and helium, by blusters

Of the infant sun were swept away
And terrestrial worlds were on display,

Captured gases formed the atmosphere
And comets kicked the earth's rocky rear!

After being hit by spatial harpoons
The scattered pieces, say formed the moon

And icy bodies clashed with the stones
This water flourished in Goldilocks zone

Slowly but steadily life was born
And humanity saw it's first morn

We primates barbered with Darwin's scissors
Have become mother Earth's abusers

And victims of cosmic laughter
As we try to live- happily ever after...
