32. After A Fight

I hate fighting with Shawn, but we had just had this explosive fight. At one point, he was so angry that he started to call me names that I won't repeat. They were too mean and hurtful. I couldn't take it anymore so I went to my mom's house, the house I grew up in. I needed time to cool down before I went back to Shawn, and I couldn't face him right now.

My best friend, Grace, had come over to talk to me and help calm me down, and we were sitting on the long lounge chair in my old bedroom. As we were talking, there was a knock on my door.

"Come in!" I called out. Shawn walked in. Oh God. Was I ready to see him? Well, it didn't matter if I was ready or not, because he was standing right in front of me.

"I'll give you guys some space." Grace said as she exited the room. Shawn and I thanked her.

"Hey hon." Shawn said.

"Hi." Was all I said back. I didn't know what else to say.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said the things I said. I shouldn't have yelled them. What I said was hurtful and I had no right to say those things." Shawn blurted out.

"It really hurt me Shawn. I don't understand how you could say those things to me." I replied.

"I know and I feel so bad for that. I hurt my baby and that breaks my heart. I shouldn't have said those things and I will never say those things ever again." He said. I just nodded.

"Okay." I said.

"Okay?" He asked.

"Okay. I'm sorry about what I said and about leaving. I just needed to cool down." I told him.

"It's okay. I'm just glad that I have my baby back." He said as he kissed me while his arms wrapped around my waist.

We went into the living room holding hands, signifying to Grace and my mom that everything was okay, and that we were better now. To make sure that they knew, and just because I needed to, I stood on my tip toes to kiss my handsome boyfriend. Although he was taken aback at first, he kissed back and I could feel the love and passion coursing through the kiss. I love this man.
