Shawn has been coming home late every night for the past two weeks. I don't know what's going on and I'm getting worried that he's cheating on me. I usually wouldn't think that but I don't know what else to think. I love Shawn and I don't want to lose him, especially to another woman. It was about midnight when Shawn finally came home, and I had decided to confront him about what I am worried about.

"Hi Anna." Shawn said. He never calls me by my name. It's always baby, baby girl, babe, honey, etc.

"Hi Shawn. Can we talk?" I asked.

"I'm really tired, can we talk in the morning?" He asked.

"No because in the morning you'll be gone before I wake up. We need to talk, and we need to talk now." I said.

"What's wrong Anna?" He asked while sitting down on the couch next to me. I scooted away from him a little so there was a space between us.

"Are you cheating on me?" I asked.

"What? Anna why would you think that?" He asked.

"For the past two weeks you've been coming home late and that's the only conclusion that I can come to." I said while standing up and pacing around the room. He stood up too and walked over to me. He looked angry.

"Did you ever think that maybe I'm just busy with work?" Shawn asked.

"Then why do you smell like another woman's perfume?" I asked.

"Because there was a lady there at the recording studio! How dare you accuse me of cheating on you." Shawn yelled. Then he did something bad. He raised his right hand and smacked my cheek so hard that I stumbled and almost fell over. Tears came to my eyes and I became sad and angry.

"You promised me Shawn, you promised me that you would never hurt me." I said while crying. His face softened.

"I'm so sorry. Oh my God I'm a monster. I'm so sorry. Please don't leave me." He pleaded.

"You should have thought of that before you hit me Shawn. We're over." I said as I walked up the stairs. I grabbed some of my stuff and put it in a bag until I could get the rest of my stuff some other time. I could hear Shawn crying downstairs as I came down the stairs with the bags of my stuff. I went over to a picture of Shawn and I that was framed. Shawn looked at me and I looked at him before I took the photo out of the frame and ripped it right down the middle.

"Anna please." Shawn pleaded.

"No. We're done." I said, and with that, I walked out of the door and left forever.
