Note: Written on the day O2L arrived in Denver. This is fanfiction. They didn't actually stay downtown or eat on 16th Street and Trevor wasn't with them that night.
Kian's POV
It took forever to get from Toronto to Denver. I've never seen this much corn in my life. I don't think I can eat tostitos for months. When we finally hit the hotel in Downtown Denver I actually resist the urge to run out into the parking area and throw something. Denver seems neat. The mountains in the distance are cool and it looks like there is lots to do downtown. It sure beats the bus and corn fields - although we did a neat photo shoot that I posted on my tumblr. We agree to take a break and either sleep at the hotel, probably Connor and JC (who isn't feeling well) or go exploring (Me and Sam want to see an actual legal pot shop). I don't know what Ricky is going to do and Trevor flies in from Father's Day in California. He missed the trip through the corn.
I have been having such a wild and fun time with my brothers. New hair, new attitude. Sam and I haven't been this close in months. I hope Ricky doesn't think I am turning my back on him - no way. But I feel a little weird. I was texting with Andrea on the bus. We are friends two weeks after the break up but I just don't know where we are headed.
"Hey Ricky," I shout, "Do you want to come exploring with Sam and me? Lot's to do in this town so I here." I have a big smile on my face. We both know what the plan is.
"I think I'll pass. Think I will go for a run and get a little rest." Ricky responds but with a wink.
I put a hurt look on my face. I really want to hang out with both Ricky and Sam. "We'll bring you back a gift." Sam says with a smile.
"If you do, it better be a stuffed animal." Ricky teases. "I'll see you at dinner." He turns and walks into the lobby. He briefly looks back and our eyes meet. He smiles. I somehow can't smile back though I want to.
Ricky's POV
Something is up with Kian and I don't like the looking for pot stores idea at all. He seems hurt that I wouldn't go. But I don't think the problem is with me. I think it is Andrea. It'll be ok though. I love the fact he and Sam have reconnected like they have. I look around the lobby for the other light brown haired cute guy with an awesome quiff. Connor Franta, every twelve year old girls dream. I need to stop thinking like that or someone is going to leave the friend zone. I spot him.
"Connor!" I call out. "Wait up!"
"What's up Ricky. My videos are uploaded and I have three hours of shower and nap ahead." He responds but with a smile.
"Can I buy you a coffee?" I motion to the Starbucks across the canopy from the hotel entrance, "I need to have one of our adult talks." It's not fair to JC as he is pretty much the same age as me and Connor but occasionally Connor and I break away just to talk about things from the perspective of being a little older than the others.
"For coffee and you, yes." He responds. "I'll meet you there in 10 minutes."
We head to our rooms to drop luggage and wash up quickly. Kian is staying with Sam tonight so I have a rare room to myself. I meet Connor downstairs and buy him a large coffee and get some juice for me.
"This is still crazy, the tour, the fancy hotel, I still can't believe it all." Connor says.
"An all thanks to screaming twelve year old girls." I respond with a smile.
"There were at least 10 guys and twenty girls over 18 at our last show. I saw them." He responds.
"You know that's not even one percent of everyone." I answer.
