OPENING & ANDRÉ VS BRADY

Nikki's P.O.V:

It's so exciting! Today is the first day of the Student of Stars tournament!

The first round is being held in the WCD auditorium and Trevor Chase has gone ALL OUT for this event.

There are custom banners everywhere, the seats in the auditorium have been replaced with gold colored ones and don't even get me STARted on what the stage looks like.

Besides how the venue looks, today is the opening night and we have all got to make a lasting impression out there if we want to win and to reach the second round.

There is such a commotion backstage as everyone is practising so they don't mess up. Darn, I hope that I don't mess up... I would be humiliation in front of millions of people!

Trevor Chase took the stage in front of the packed audience and said

"Welcome America to my new project. Last month, this country threw itself into a frenzy after seeing a viral video of WCD students singing. And you have all just been begging for more of it. Well, I'm a people person so let's give America what it wants!

32 Contestants, 1 winner. Who will become the all important STUDENT OF STARS?!"

The crowd errupted into a roar of loud cheers, it seems like they really do want to see more of us!

Like Trevor Chase just said, let's give America what it wants! :)

It's time for the opening battle, it's Brady Grayson Vs André Davenport.

The first to perform was Brady who sang a pretty good rendition of Imagine Dragons' 'Thunder'.

But André...

I don't know if I'm going to win this contest anymore, I can see why he won in Miami to qualify.

He took the stage, practically glowing in front of the audience.

And then the music started to play...

The crowd loved him, they were still cheering long after Matt Thompson faced Alex Westlake, during Samantha Gates Vs Jordyn Rose and started to die down when Sarah Grossman faced Christina Hughes.

I kinda feel sorry for them since they were put there giving it their all.

But André was just incredible!

The fact that André was able to sing in two different languages so smoothly is incredible and I wish him the best of luck in the rest of this contest.
