I stand there, watching her pace back and forth, shaking like a Chihuahua.

"What are we going to do? She gone, Seth's gone, they're onto us, I just know they are-"

"Layla," I interrupt her rambling. "Relax, everything is going to be okay." She looks over to me.

"You think so?" She asks and I smirk.

"I know so. Besides, they can't hold Seth forever. He'll figure something out, he's clever, you know that." She nods quickly.

"I know, but-"

"No buts, no what ifs. Everything will be fine. Soon everything will back to normal." I say and she smiles at the thought.

"Our little family, back together." Tears fill her green eyes.
"I just miss her so much."

"I know you do, that's why I'm going to get her back."

"Just think, she's out there with a bunch of strangers, probably scared to death..." she sighs, holding back a sea of tears.

"Don't cry, baby. She'll be back at home before you know it. I'll make sure of it." I take a sip of my tea and take her hand.

"You really mean that?" I nod my head and kiss her hand.

"Layla, honey, I promise. Cross my heart and all that good stuff." She smiles and I return the favor.

She stands up and walks over, placing I kiss on my cheek.

"Not now, darling, I have business I really must attend to." She smiles.

"Knock 'em dead, honey," she coos, straightening my tie and I give her a quick peck on the lips.

"See you tonight, my love," I say before stepping out the door.

I loop around to the back, moving to a different house has been difficult. After the damn cops from the 21st found Brooklyn, we had to leave, and fast. I knew I should've never left Seth alone with them, I should've known he'd get us caught.

This place is just as nice as the last, thank God we can afford it.

I walk through the back door and sigh. So much work.

I unlock the door and walk down the sixteen stairs down to the cellar, I counted the first day we moved in. It may not be a basement but you get what you get.

"Noah, come out come out wherever you are," I click on my flashlight and look around the considerably large room, already assembled and ready to get back to business.

The light falls over her long scrawny body and she groans. I smile in satisfaction walking over to her.

"Good morning, love. Ready to start?" She aggressively shakes her head and begins to back away, her chains rattling against the concrete floor.
"Excellent."

I can't wait to get Brooke back home. I'm going to snap that little brat's neck.
