Naya lays a soft blanket on top of me and lays a hand on my face.

"I really am sorry for not telling you sooner." I smile and shake my head.

"No, no it's okay." She smiles back at me, running a hand through my hair.

"Okay, well, sleep well belle princesse." I give her a strange look and she chuckles.
"It means beautiful princess in French."

Gosh, I love her...

"How do you say goodnight in French?"

"bonne nuit." She says in a smooth voice and it gives me chills. She gives me a charming smile and kisses me on the forehead.
"Sleep tight, okay? You need your rest." I nod and she sighs.
"I'll see you in the morning." I grab her arm and she looks down.

"Can't you stay?" I whisper and her grin falls, she shaking her head.

"I'm sorry, love, I have to go." She sends me a half smile.
"I love you, Jane."

"I love you, too, Naya." I say, my eyelids falling closed. I hear her soft footsteps leave the room before I fall asleep.

The room is dark, or maybe I just can't see.

"Hey, it's all going to be all right, it'll be okay," a soft voice whispers and my vision slowly comes back in, but it's blurry, I can barely see. I can make out a fuzzy image of a girl with brown hair.
"Brooke, listen to me voice, come back to me," she whispers and my vision clears up. Noah holds me in her arms, trying to get me to come to. A broken laugh falls from her lips, as well as a tear from her eye.
"Gosh, look at you," she says, her voice shaking.
"You're wearing away, there's not much left of you to lose, is there?"

He hasn't fed me in seventeen days. That's more than two weeks.

She runs her hand over my face and I exhale, trying my best to stay awake.

"Here," she says, reaching down and picking up a piece of bread that he gave her. I weakly shake my head, pushing it away.

"No, Noah." I whisper.
"You know what he said, I-I'm not allowed to eat... you know what he'll do to you ." She shakes her head.

"Stop that," she says.
"You and I both know that it is just a matter of time before..." she can't finish her sentence.
"You know."

"I know."

"Well what am I supposed to do?" She cries.
"Just sit here and let you die? No, that's not an option, not a choice!"

"Noah-"

"No, Brooke, you're my sister, I promised I'd get us out of here, and I will! But you've got to stay with me, please!" Tears fall off her face and onto mine.
"Please," she whispers.
"Please don't leave me here, just, just stay with me..." she leans down and presses her forehead against mine, and I slowly nod my head.

"Okay..." I manage to get out and she sits back up, bringing the food to my lips.

"That's it, Brooke..."  The door swings open fast and my heart almost stops.
