"Shit!" I yell and hold Naya tighter in my arms as Will bursts through the door.
"What's happening?" Brooke yells but I shake my head.
"Go back to the waiting room,"
"But-"
"Go, Brooke!" She runs out the door and Will gives me a look.
"What the hell happened?" He asks as he runs over to her, trying to figure out what to do.
"I don't know what happened, she just-"
"Move away from her," he yells as he grabs a defibrillator. He rips her blouse open and forcefully places the pads on her chest. Her body jolts foreword but sinks back down after. "C'mon Naya, you've got to help me out!" He yells, trying the defibrillator again, but it doesn't work. "Don't you dare die on me!" He tries one more time and her hand reaches up and grabs mine as she tries to breathe in. I let out a sigh of relief as her eyes shoot open. I sit back down on her bed and pull her into my arms.
"Damn it, Naya!" I say through tears, shaking my head. "You can't keep almost dying," She continues to try to breathe in many struggled breaths, she sounds like she's choking. "Will, get over here," I say and he walks over. "I think there's something in her throat," he gives me a strange look before nodding his head.
"I, I think you might be right. Hold on," he grabs a pair of tweezers and walks back over, tilting her neck upwards. He clicks on a flashlight and his face falls.
"Holy shit," he whispers under his breath as he reaches into her throat with the tool and starts to pull something out.
It's a chain, like the kind you wear with a necklace, and at the end is a heart charm. He pulls it out and she finally sucks in a deep, desperate breath, followed by a painful cough.
"Shh, I know honey," I whisper and she lets her body relax, taking in many shaky deep breaths.
"Erin you really need to see this," he says slowly, bringing the charm over with a magnifying glass. He hands me a glove before handing me the necklace. There are words engraved into the metal.
I could've killed her if I wanted to, next time I'll rip her real heart out. You owe me.
"You've got to be kidding," I say and he looks over to me.
