You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.

"How are you feeling?"
Everyday for the past week, I've been asked that question more times than I can count. It's almost like they're expecting me to just break down at any given second.
Each time I'm asked that question, my answer is the same. "I'm fine."
But I'm not.
How am I supposed to be anything remotely close to fine when half of me is missing?
It's been a week since Blaze went missing. And in that week my Dad comes over every day to check on us, Blaze's sister moved in to help with the kids, Trey moved in the guest bedroom to make sure I don't lose it, and Blazes mom moved in next door with Mr. Legend.
Out of all the things that's happened, I think that's what surprised me the most. The first day she got here she came over crying about Blaze but I wasn't trying to hear it. I get she's his birth mom, but she has no relationship with us whatsoever and my kids barely even know her.
So for her to come over here crying like the world was ending made no sense to me, and I'm pretty sure I gave her the biggest attitude ever.
Mr. Legend and the other guys have been busy everyday trying to track down Blaze and the people who took him. They say they know for a fact he isn't dead, and to be honest that's the only thing that's keeping me from falling apart. That and my kids.
Adrianna has barely left her room since he's been gone, Ava thinks he's away on business, but Alex has been a real big help. I'm proud of the way he's been keeping it together. He's helped me a lot.
"We're running low on groceries," Daniella told me as she looked in the refrigerator. I was sitting at the island in front of her going through my emails.
Since there's been so much going on I haven't even been to work, I've had my secretary take over with the studio until I can get back.
"I'll go to the store," I volunteered quickly. I needed to get out of his house and get some fresh air.
"By yourself?"
"Trey will go with me," I said causing him to look up and scrunch his eyebrows together. "I'm going to get dressed, make a list of things we need," I told her before walking back to my room.
I had already taken a shower this morning, so all I did was slide on a pair of tights and one of Blaze's hoodies before slipping into some slides and tying my hair up.
I stared at myself through the mirror for a second and looked at his hoodie. It still had his smell on it, and I debated on if I should take it off so that the smell would stay but I decided against it.
He'll be home soon.
"You ready?" Trey asked me standing by the front door twirling the keys in his hand.
"Yeah, did you get the list?"
"I did," he confirmed holding the door open for me. I followed him down the steps to his car and hopped in, quickly cutting the heater on. "Which store you got in mind?"
"Walmart should be find. If we don't get everything from there Publix is basically next door."
"What made you decide to leave the house today?" he asked quietly. I turned my head and stared out the window.
"I can't stay inside forever."
"I'm glad you're feeling better-"
"I never said I was feeling better, cause if I did then I'd be lying. I just feel like staying inside that room is going to make me go crazy."
