I'm not spoiled, just well loved.

Listen to me when I tell you that my dad is the best dad in the entire world. Every Wednesday, he takes my little brother to the gym so they could play basketball and spend time together; on Thursdays he takes my little sister to the park to play and eat ice cream; on Friday he gets me from school and takes me to get a mani- pedi while he goes and gets a hair cut at my Uncles shop, then we go see a movie and have lunch, and every Saturday night him and my mom go out on a date.

He told me that I'm not allowed to date yet, but whenever the time comes he has it down to make sure I know how to be treated. He's raising my little brother to be the perfect gentleman and he's showing him how to treat women.

I guess he's doing this because when he was growing up, he never really had anyone to teach him these things, and he doesn't want the same thing happening to us.

Today is Friday, so it means it's our daddy daughter day. He just dropped me off at the Nail Salon while he went next door to get his hair touched up.

The whole time I was here I was thinking of the perfect way to bring up the whole transferring to a public school situation. I really want to leave that place and I just need to get him to understand how badly.

The lady was halfway finished with my toes when my dad walked into the Salon, causing everyone to stare at him making me annoyed. I should be used to this by now but I'm not. Can't they see that my dad has a ring on his finger? He's clearly tied down to my mom, meaning he would never want anyone of them.

"Instead of going to the movies can we go to the park?" I asked grabbing his attention, making him look up from his phone with a raised eyebrow.

"What's at the park?"

"Um, ice cream? What do you and Ava do when you go?"

"We play on the playground and swing on the swings. I didn't know you were into that," he joked and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not, I just.. I want to talk to you about something and I can't necessarily do that at the movies," I explained with a shrug. He looked confused about it for a little while before he eventually agreed.

As soon as I was finished at the Salon, we headed for the park to talk.

"So, what's up?" my dad asked me as we walked down one of the paths at the park with an ice cream cone in both of our hands.

"It's about the school thing-"

"Adrianna-" he cut me off.

"No, just listen to me please. Why don't you want us to go? What's so bad about public school?"

"I've went, me, your mom, all your uncles and aunts, we all went to a public school. And I just, I don't know.. Knowing the people that I used to hang around is what's making me not let you go. I don't even want those kind of people to look at you," he started and I stared up at him confused.

"But you don't know if people like that still go there?"

"I don't want to take the risk. You being at the private school gives me the closure that those kind of kids wouldn't even be allowed in."

"But Dad, I hate that school. People mess with me everyday and they treat us differently, I'm not happy there. Don't you want me to be happy?" I pressured, knowing he'll say yes to that.

"Of course I do, but your safety is what's important to me. I'm not saying you'll be in danger by going into a public school because I don't know that. But Babygirl you need to know that there are people out there that still want me dead to this day. And if they can't get to me, they'll get to my kids first. Once again I'm not saying you'll be in danger for sure because I don't know, but you'll be more exposed to those types of people at a public school."
