RECAP:

"What do you want?!" I demanded icily.

"Revenge." He instantly replied.

Victoria's POV:

"For what?" I asked innocently. And just like that, all amusement was washed off his face and replaced by feirce rage. He surged forward and picked me up by the scruff of my grey shirt, my feet almost off the ground. Fear flashed through my eyes causing his lips to tugg into a menacing smirk, all signs of rage vanishing from his features. Bipolar much?

He let go of my shirt, which was now crumpled and creased where he had grabbed it.

"Don't act all innocent with me Vicky, you know exactly why I'm seeking revenge. It was because of YOU that I was sent to jail, it was because of YOU that I had to fight for my life on a regular basis in that hell hole. And it is because of YOU that I am standing here right now in this park, for YOU." Anger lingered in his tone, yet his face was emotionless.

He has no right to be angry after what he did to me! I felt a spark of boldness and stepped forward so that I was so close to him that I had to look up in order to meet his eyes. "Yes, and I suppose it was I who had made you kidnap me and attempt to murder me? Take responsibility for your actions Michael. You got what you deserved, your lucky you had such a short sentence because if it was up to me, you would have gotten much longer. Your not a human being, your a sick and twisted ANIMAL and I owe you nothing! And don't EVER call me 'Vicky', you lost the right to call me that years ago." I replied, bleeding as much hatred and coldness in my voice as possible. His hand twitched in a movement of restraint as he was struggling to not strike me, with a heavy blow no doubt. I could visibly see him trying to suppress his rage, and his breathing was heavier as he attempted to contain himself. It's actually amazing how he was controlling himself, something that he never did before. His fury was once untameable yet he was keeping himself at bay. Which is strange because we were all alone in a park with no one else around to see or hear him attack me and he had the concealment of the darkness of night by his side, yet he's not using these circumstances to his advantage.

Michael spoke through clenched teeth. "You left me with no other choice...I loved you and you didn't love me back. If I couldn't have you then no one could." The repeat of those last words sent a chill through my spine, and sinister memories to resurface from the distant parts of my mind.

"You can't love. It's impossible. I was a possession and you never liked to share your toys." I stated, as if it were a fact.

His eyes pooled with that same fire that had blazed many years ago. "I will refrain from hurting you for now...it will only ruin my plans for you--Don't want to leave any marks on that delicate body of yours, do we? My, my, my Victoria; you sure do advance in beauty as the years go by. That kind of beauty will draw any man to his demise, you siren!" He spat, "Seeing you everyday, knowing that I couldn't have you, was killing me inside. I had to put a stop to my suffering, by making you suffer. Your lucky my buddy, Jamie, trashed the wrong flat. You better watch your back." With that, he pulled me closer so that my body was pressed against his, his arm hooked around my waist in a steel grip, and slipped a note into the back pocket of my jeans with his other hand. He pulled away and left without another word, melting into the shadows.

I just stood there, in utter shock. He really is crazy. And bipolar. How dare he touch me! Having any kind of contact with that man makes me feel disgusted and violated; Michael Gory really is the scum of this earth. Wait, it was his friend that broke into Alexis' apartment! What is he seriously playing at, because his actions are seriously confusing me?

A shiver ran through my body, breaking me out of my thoughts. The chill of the night had brought me back to my senses. I better get home before I run into anymore psychos. I sprinted out of that park so fast that Usain Bolt would congratulate me, and fast jogged to my apartment. By time I reached the door, my lungs were burning and my muscles were weak from the build up of lactic acid. As the adrenalin wore off, I felt a throbbing pain in my ankle from when I fell. The pain intensified when I put my weight on it. I waited for a while for my breathing to come back to normal and adjusted my appearance. Making sure that I smooth out the crumples in my shirt, brushed off the dirt from my hair and tried to compose myself. I was still pretty shaken up about Michael's unexpected visit. Marcus was right. It was foolish of me to go in that park, alone and after sun down. Yet, I had way too much pride to admit it to Marcus, so I decided not to mention what happened in the park. I pushed my key into the door and opened it cautiously, sucking in my breath, preparing myself to walk without showing the pain I felt at my ankle.
