RECAP:
Did I just have a flashback of my past, a while ago? Maybe I was confused? Something unsettled in my stomach as I looked back at the silver Audi across the road. At that instant, the car door of driver's side slammed shut, meaning that someone had just entered it. Vague images of the brunette woman flashed through in my mind. Alexis slammed her foot against the accelerator pedal, and sped down the street like a mad women. Am I getting my memory back? Will there be more flashbacks or will my memory just instantly come back to me?

MARCUS' POV:
What ever happens, this will really change things...For better or worse? I hope it's not the latter.
Once Alexis and I had arrived back at the apartment, my mind was else where. I didn't know whether I should tell Victoria about the flashback or not. Before today, I couldn't care less if I'd get my memory back or not. But now, I'm ambivalent. I didn't want to remember my life before the accident, only to realise that I had a wife or kid's waiting for me, for instance. I couldn't bare such a thought. And what would that mean for Victoria and I? On the other hand, the embers of hope that the flashback had vigoriously fanned, made me feel excited to know who I really was--My profession, my family: my identity.
"Marcus? Marcus?" Victoria waved her hand through the air, pulling me out of my internal conflict. I blinked my eyes and Victoria's facial features were painted with concern. "Marcus, are you OK? You've been completely out of it since you came back from work. Is there something troubling you?" She sat to my right on the sofa, while Alexis sat to my left.
"I'm alright Victoria. Just thinking." I flashed her a smile that didn't reach my eyes. Yet, she didn't look convinced at my attempt to act nonchalant.
Alexis scoffed. "It must be something very troubling, if you've been sitting with a constipated facial expression all night. And You hardly even ate any of the dinner we prepared for you."
I shot up from my seat, startling Victoria. I narrowed my eyes at Alexis. "There's nothing wrong with being lost in my thoughts. Why can't you just get off of my case!" I snapped defensively, and stalked off to the bedroom. I know my actions were childish, but I didn't need to explain myself.

I stripped out of my clothes and wrapped a towel around my waist. I then, made my way to the bathroom and proceeded to a take a shower. The heated water streamed down my tense body, warming my skin and releasing tension. Hot steam enveloped my body as the water rained down on me, colliding with my skin and flattening my hair. The water droplets slid down my abdomen, the soothing liquid cascading down my back. The soap suds glided down to my feet, guided by the streams of water. I was much more relaxed and was beginning to feel bad about my outburst earlier.
Once I was finished, I hopped out of the shower and used a towel to dry my dishevelled hair. I then, wrapped a towel around my waist and looked at my reflection in the mirror above the sink. My skin was damp and steam danced around my body. My face was flustered and my hair was sticking up in different directions. I noticed a small birth mark on my left shoulder. I never really payed any mind to it before. It was pea-sized and resembled the shape of an apple. I touched it in amazement and instantly froze, as the pad of my finger traced the mark on my skin. My heart was racing, my breathing sped up and everything around me faded into a memory in full surround...
