Chapter 10

Jessica's POV

I have tried everything I could to get Ari away from Jacob and with me. I asked him to hang out. I've talked to him. I asked him to walk with me to all my classes. I don't understand why he seems so annoyed with me. I mean like i'm a damn cheerleader! What guy doesn't want a cheerleader?! Well, Ari is a cheerleader too. But still i'm prettier than her. Or at least I think I am. I'm skinny and I have blonde hair. What boy prefers brunettes over blondes? I even have a better name than her. I wear expensive clothing that a lot of girls can't afford. Like what the hell?! 

Jacob's POV

Ari and I went to my house and did homework then went out to eat. We saw Jessica with Amber sitting at a table when we went McDonalds. Okay either they followed us or that's a huge coincidence. They kept looking at us.

Ari: Hey did you wanna go to that fair thing tomorrow?

Jacob: Uh-huh.

I was sort of distracted.

She looked up at me and looked in the direction I was looking in. I was looking at Jessica with a bit of an annoyed look. She kept winking and smiling at me. It was weird.

Ari: I gotta go. 

Jacob: No don't go. And if you are let me walk you home.

Ari: I think i'll be fine. 

She got up and threw her stuff away. 

Ari: FYI if you like Jessica, don't stare at her every now and then. Ask her out. 

Jacob: I don't like her I-

She walked out before I could finish.

Jacob: Like you...

I said sort of quietly. I'm such a dumbass. I should have told her. I threw my stuff away and went outside. I leaned up against the wall and texted my Mom saying I was coming home. Then Jessica and Amber came out. Oh great. She stood in front of me.

Jessica: Did she leave you?

She put her hand on my chest which made me really uncomfortable.

Jacob: Uh yeah? She had to go home. 

Jessica: Well even if I had to go home I would never leave you. 

She got closer and started kissing my neck.

Jacob: Jessica stop!

I pushed her back lightly and started to walk away. 

Jessica: Jacob can't you see we'd be so happy together?! I can give you anything and everything you have ever wanted!

I stopped and turned around.

Jacob: So, you can give me Ari?

Jessica: What is it with Ari?! Why is she soooo special?! What does she have that I don't?!

Jacob: Oh, I don't know! Why don't we start with respect?

Jessica: What?! I have A LOT of respect for you! Jacob I love you!

Jacob: No you don't! If you truly did you would not have done that. You would have RESPECTED that I didn't want to do anything with you! But you don't care. You know Ari didn't actually walk out on me because she had to go home. She left because of you! You wouldn't leave me alone! You kept flirting with me and following me! So she got annoyed and left! I could tell she was upset when she did. 

Jessica: Good! She doesn't deserve you!

Jacob: Your right she doesn't! She deserves more! She's such a nice person and you just ignore her when she tries to be nice, and you give her dirty looks for no reason! 

Jessica: I do that because shes getting in the way!

Jacob: Of?!

Jessica: You and me!

Jacob: You and me?!

I laughed because I was getting really pissed. 

Jacob: Jessica there was no you and me! And there never will be! Just get over yourself already!

I walked away and I could hear her saying my name and telling me to come back but I just went home. I didn't care. I went up to my room and couldn't fall asleep until 11:00 (pm). I woke up and got ready for school. I walked out and saw Case and Ari. Case was wearing basketball shorts and a Nike shirt. Ari was wearing a short sweater that was mainly black just with two white stripes being separated by a black one. She has on a white high-waisted mini-skirt with black and white Addidas shoes. We walked to school together. I went to my locker and Jessica apologized for last night but I really didn't care. I went up to Ari.

Jacob: Hey 

Ari: What's up?

Jacob: I just wanted to tell you, I do not like Jessica at all. I actually li- 

Adien a guy from my gym class came and slapped me on the back (In a friendly way)

Adien: Yo Sartorius lez go! Today we're playing football in gym and everybody voted you QB and Case Wing Back so you better not let us down!

He pulled me away and Ari looked confused and waved bye. I mouthed later and Adien turned me around. Why is it that when I wanna tell her I like her something gets in the way? Last night I was gonna tell her but she walked out before I could. Now when I try to tell her somebody comes and ruins it. I'll have to tell her later. We played football in gym and i'm not gonna lie I felt like such a badass with all the moves I was making. The one time Adien tried to tackle me but I acted quickly and surprisingly I was able to jump over him and throw the ball to Case in a perfect spiral. After gym the coach asked me to meet him in his office. Not gonna lie I was kinda scared. But all he wanted was to talk to me about trying out for the football team. I told him that I would consider it. Case and I met up with Ari in choir.
