Chapter 28

Jacob's POV

We walked in the house and ate. As we were eating my phone started ringing. I assumed it might be Ari but still checked anyway. Still knowing I wouldn't be aloud to answer.

Jacob: Tony

Mom: You may answer

I nodded my head once and picked it up.

Jacob: What's goin' on?

Tony: Nothing much you?

Jacob: Dinner

Tony: Well, I hope you didn't forget that you have to come to the studio

Jacob: When?

Tony: 5

I checked the time. 4:07

Jacob: Alright. 

I took the phone away from my ear

Jacob: Mom, Tony needs me in the studio by 5

She nodded her head and extended her arm. I handed the phone to her and she talked to Tony for a few minutes then hung up. 

Mom: Hurry up and finish eating then go get ready. Make sure you take the songs with you

Jacob: Got it

I finished then got ready. I grabbed the songs and by the time I was finished there was an Uber waiting outside. I said bye to my parents and went to the studio. 

Tony: Ayeee Jacob!

Jacob: Hey

Tony: You got the songs 

Jacob: Right here

I held it up to where he could see it. 

Tony: Good lets go

We went in and I handed in the song. It was called Hit Or Miss. The song producer started looking it over. As he was my phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out but kept it hidden. Ari. It was over Snapchat though. I clicked on the video. She had her flash on pointed into a mirror. Then she let her phone go and it all went slow motion and it kept spinning in the air. It was dope as hell. But very confusing on how she did it. I smiled. I took a picture of the floor and said,

 "How did you do that?"

 She replied with a picture saying, 

"Mario taught me. Kinda hard to explain but I can show you"

I took a video of my feet but zooming in and out on them.

"1. I'd be down 2 holy hell you look so good in that pic" 

She sent another one using the dog filter and put crying/laughing emojis and said,

"Thank you. Also where are you?"

I took another picture of the floor

"A boring ass meeting. Wanna know what would make it less boring?"

Producer: I think it's a hit. I like it. I figured that if I did like the song we could work on it as soon as possible

Tony: Sounds good

Ari sent a picture of her blanket

"What?"

I sent a picture of Tony's feet.

"If you sent more pictures. Maybe a few mirror ones?" 

She got sarcastic and sent a picture of her mirrors as a tease. She put the crying/laughing emojis and said,

"Does this satisfy you?"

"Haha very funny"

"It was"

"You know when I get out of this meeting your in trouble"

"Oh damn don't arrest me officer it was just a mirror!"

"That would be why your getting arrested"

"O...what can I do to get out of this punishment?"

"The-

Producer: Mr. Sartorius?

I jumped a little.

Jacob: Uh, um...yeah?

Producer: Is it okay if we start recording today?

Jacob: Y-yeah that's fine

I was a little up set because I was gonna go over to Ari's after this. Ugh. I can just sneak through her window. She has absolutely no clue of all the things I could do to her. I bit my lip and started zoning out thinking about it. 

Producer: Great. So lets go to the booth. Mr. Sartorius?

He snapped his fingers

Jacob: Oh, yeah let's go

Producer: Are you okay?

Jacob: Great

Producer: Well you seem a little distracted. You know we can always do this tomorrow. 

Jacob: No, no i'm fine

Producer: You sure?

Jacob: Yeah i'm fine

Producer: Okay then let's get to it

Jacob: When are do I leave?

Producer: 8:00 (pm)

Jacob: Thanks um... can I use the restroom before we start?

producer: Knock yourself out

Jacob: Thank you

I didn't actually have to use the bathroom. I wanted to text Ari real quick. I walked in and pulled out my phone. I check Snapchat and opened what she sent.

"Or don't respond that's cool too"

"Oh. Dammit that's right your in a meeting i'm sorry"

She sent it ten minutes ago. I took a picture but with my hand covering the screen. 

"It was fine. It's over now and I have to stay till 8:00."

"Well that sucks"

"Yeah. Hey leave your window unlocked"

"Why?"

"You'll find out soon bbg. I have to go ily"

I exited Snapchat and turned off my phone. I left the bathroom and went to the room that we would be recording the song in. 

Producer: Okay let's get to it

3 hours later....

Producer: And that's all for now

Jacob: Thank you

Producer: No thank you. Your a very pleasant person to work with

I smiled. I walked outside and the Uber was waiting. I got in and went home. My Mom and Dad were asleep I went in my room and got on my phone. 

2 hours later....

When I was on Instagram it hit me that I was gonna go over to Ari's. Dammit. Ah screw it. I put pillows under my blanket making it look like a person. I quietly unlocked and lifted my window then carefully jumped down. I dusted myself off and started walking over to her house.
