Chapter 18

Jacob's POV

Ari and I woke up around 11:00 (am) and we got ready. Ari put on a pink crop-top and jeans with black slip on Vans. 

Ari: Hey do you wanna go to the mall?

Jacob: Yeah. Sounds good to me

We left and walked there. I interlocked our fingers and we just walked around for a bit. Then we saw some guy in a banana costume. He ran up to us.

Banana man: FREE HUG CHALLENGE!

He hugged me then Ari and ran off. We started laughing.

Jacob: I don't think that's even a thing

Ari: Must have been something he made up

Jacob: I don't know but that's the funniest thing ever

Her laugh sort of stopped

Jacob: What's wrong?

Ari: Nothing

Jacob: You sure?

Ari: Yeah

Joey: Hey slut!

I looked over and Ari rolled her eyes. 

Jacob: What did you just call her?

Ari: Jacob let's go. Don't waste your time. 

Joey: I said she was a slut. Do I have to spell it out for you?

Jacob: Call her that again and you'll be in the hospital for the next to weeks.

Joey: Oh, sorry...I just forgot her name

Jacob: Your about to forget your own here in a second

Ari: Jacob lets go

Joey: Oh really?

Jacob: Oh really.

Joey: And hows that gonna happen?

Jacob: Why don't I show you?

I got a little closer. Ari pulled me back and turned me around.

Ari: Quit you are not gonna fight him!

Jacob: Watch me.

I turned back around and Joey tried to hit me but I caught his hand and punched him. After a few more punches he got on top of me and punched me in the face. At that point I was positive I was gonna have a black eye. I shoved him off me and kicked him. He tried to kick me back but I caught his foot and tossed him back. He fell and hit the ground pretty hard. He got up and just walked away. Ari came up to me. I saw a girl run up to Joey.

Ari: Jacob why did you fight him?

Jacob: He called you a slut

Ari: So? It's just a name. 

Jacob: Not to me. He should have never called you that. 

Ari: Well now I feel bad. Your hurt because of m-

Jacob: Ari this isn't your fault so don't blame yourself.

She huffed a little and grabbed my hand.

Ari: Let's go

She took me to the ice cream place. 

Jacob: I ca-

Ari: No

She bought me a twist. 

Jacob: I could have bought it

Ari: Too late
