I pulled a large t shirt over myself, covering part of my skinny jeans, and a coat Quickly putting on mascara, and ran downstairs and grabbed an apple and the money left out for me.

"crap, crap, crap, crap!" I mumbled, sprinting out the door and down the stairs, not even daring to wait the eternity that the elevator would take to work again. I had slept in and would be late for school if I didn't run to the nearest subway station.

Round the corner, down another set of stairs, and rounding another corner. Why didn't I set an alarm? Usually I depended on my two year old sister to wake me up at about six o'clock, forgetting that she was at our grandparents for the night. Dad would probably still be asleep and Uncle Jack was at work already. He owned a waffle house down the road from our apartment, and left early every morning to start working.
I skipped the last step, almost tripping over as I dashed through the lobby and out the glass doors into the busy streets of New York. It smelled like coffee, smoke and new clothes. It was also freezing. Why did I forget it was fall already? Hopefully Flash has a thicker jacket that I could borrow/steal. God knows I haven't returned most of his hoodies.
I dodged many people, dashing to the subway station as fast as I could, and I was about ready to collapse by the time I got there. I also missed the train.
"ugh! Seriously!" I yelled at the retreating carriages, plopping down on a nearby seat to wait for the next one.

I was about to take out my phone when a figure in a dirty green coat smashed full in to me, knocking me of the chair and onto the floor, also knocking the breath out of me.
"hey move it kid!" he yelled, standing up and moving of quickly.

I sighed about to check myself for injuries when a familiar figure wearing red and blue swung past, yelling "excuse me!" I jumped again, landing on my ass and my eyes wide in shock. He was landing a neat flip and shooting a web at the man that had just run into me. It hit his foot, fasting it to the ground so he slipped, a string of swear words aimed towards Spider-Man before he pulled out a gun, making all hell break loose.

I scrambled from my spot on the floor to hide behind a pillar, following the many screaming citizens who were doing the same or running for the stairs. I winced as I felt blood trickle down my elbow and leg where a had landed on the floor and peeked around the corner to see how the masked hero was going. The man with the gun had dropped his weapon, now clawing at the white webbing covering his face.

"hey you shouldn't have those things, it's pretty dangerous, don't ya think?" Spider-Man called out. people around me muttered excitedly and I followed the sound too find him crawling over the ceiling, clinging to it like, well, like a spider. I looked back to the green jacketed man, only to find he wasn't there, his shoe still fastened to the floor.
The gun was also missing. I felt my breath catch on my throat, many people around screaming again and heard the rustling of them running away. Then I heard the gun click next to my ear and I froze completely
" 'EY, SPIDERGUY! unless you give me my bag and lemme go I won' shoo' her, yea?" I let out a loud string of swear words and watched Spiderman slowly turn his head towards me, holding what I presume was stolen by the gun wielding maniac next to me.
" 'ands above your head Missy! Keep em where i can see em, okay!"
He yelled, his breath smelling like cigarettes. I cringed but did as I was told.
"leave her be fancy pants, if you're gonna shoot at someone shoot at me, okay?" Spiderman said, dropping to the floor and beckoning with his hands. I could still smell this maniac breath in his face, hoping and dreading that he would take Spider-Mans advice and shoot him instead of me. I heard the distant whistle of the subway coming closer and held my breath.

The green jacket man didn't move for a second, clearly deep in thought. Taking the advantage, Spiderman used his webs to pull the gun out of the criminals hands, jumping across the room to punch him. The subway for louder and the two men continued their fight. I hoped I could just get in the train and leave, so I moved carefully towards where it would stop, not wanting to get noticed.

Of course, I had no such luck. I heard a strangely familiar voice yell for me to duck, and I turned just in time to see myself being pushed by by the man of the platform, in front of the train.
The bright headlights blinded me momentarily, before I felt softer hands push me backwards further, a flash of red and the wind being knocked out if me as my back hit the floor.

I squeezed my eyes shut and heard the train racing past, the wind making my hair whisk around, hitting me several times in the face. Realising I wasn't dead, I opened my eyes and immediately regretted it. What I originally thought to be the floor, was actually the roof of the tunnel, which I was somehow pressed up against, and the subway was less than a foot underneath me, slowing down to stop at the now empty station.

At first I wondered how I was suddenly defying the laws of gravity, but then I realised Spider-Man had his body pressing mine too the roof, saving me from being killed by the train I was probably going to miss.
"thanks." I whispered and he turned his head towards me. His mask was kinda scary up close with wide, white eyes and tiny spiderweb patterns stretched over the red fabric. Then my idiot hormones noticed how tight his suit was around the rest is his body, making me blush as he got off me, helping me off the top of the subway (Startling several people in doing so) and gently pushed me into the train
"your welcome. Oh yeah, i'm Spiderman, by the way." he said and I laughed

"yes I noticed." i said as he backed away, the doors closing. I didn't take my eyes of him though, as the train pulled away. It wasn't until the station was out of sight when I sighed and went to sit down.
Only to find several school and business people staring at me, shocked.
