"sweetie? Wake up, Carrie wants to see you." I woke up to see her uncle standing over her. I sat up, and rubbed my eyes. my clock told me that I had fallen asleep on my desk, trying to do my homework.
"sorry, yeah I'll be down in a minute. I was doing my homework" I said, yawning, making Uncle Jack chuckle.

"it looked like you were sleeping." I smiled.
"right. Yes I was." I said and followed my uncle out of the room.

"pudder-man! Pudder-man! Lexy, I saw pudder-man!" Carrie was jumping in the couch with a piece of paper clutched in her tiny fist, running over to her big sister and jumping into my arms.
I laughed at my little sisters antics.
"what? Pudderman?" I said, tickling my little sister who shrieked, and Uncle Jack nodded.
"Carrie saw Spider-Man in the way here. He was heading the opposite direction, swinging around on those webs." he said and I frowned.
"Spider-Man saved me this morning." I recalled quietly, but Uncle Jack heard me.
"what! What happened?" he said, worried and I shook her head.
"I, Uh, I tripped at the subway station, towards the tracks, and he pulled me back before I fell." I said but Uncle Jack still looked suspicious.
"why was he at the station?" he asked. I shrugged uncomfortably. I couldn't tell him that I was shoved down by a theif who held me at gunpoint, he would worry. After her mother...
I couldn't let that happen again, so I forced a smile onto my face and turned back to Carrie.

"yeah, it was awesome. He used his webs and everything." I said and Carrie held up the paper in her hands.
"look Lexy, I drew pudderman!" she hopped up and down, thrusting the picture in my face. I took it to see a red and blue blob floating between two rectangles full of irregular shaped windows.
"wow Carrie, this is great! Here, I'll hang it up for you." I smiled at my sister, and put the drawing on the fridge with two magnets.

Carrie smiled happily and sat down on the floor. I turned around to see Uncle Jack still looking at me, worried, but after a reassuring smile he turned away. I knew what was on his mind, but decided not to bother him about it, so I turned back to my baby sister, and listened to her jabber on about the masked hero. I had to keep my mind off Flash, and Peter too.

I heard the door click, signaling that my father had come home. I turned from the couch, where I was sitting, finishing a science report while Carrie watched tv
"dad! How was work?"
I said and he smiled.
"it was fine, how was Mr Parker?" he said and I froze.
"um, how did you know about that?" I asked. Alexis knew he wouldn't be mad that I skipped school but I had never mentioned Peter to my family, having only really noticed him that day.

Dad laughed
"your jumper silly. May I ask who this young man is?" he raised his eyebrow and I smiled guiltily.
"he's just, he's a guy in my class. I forgot to bring a coat so he lent me his jersey." I said and my father laughed again.
"the way you jumped when I said his name! Now what about Mr Thompson! Eugene, I believe? Aren't you dating him?"
He said and I blinked. I had completely forgotten about him.
"yes, I am dating Flash, dad. At least, I think." I says the last part quietly, remembering the argument from earlier.

"well I must say I like the sound of this Parker boy more! Band, robotics, academic decathlon." he says and I crossed her arms.
"Flash is in the academic decathlon team too." I said, feeling like I needed to defend my boyfriend.
"And how do you know so much about Peter?" I said, making dad grin wider.
"Peter, huh? Well it says on your back. And isn't Flash a reserve?" I huffed and walked back to my room, picking up the unfinished paper off the couch.

"yeah, but still. And stop distracting me! I have to finish this report." I said and dad followed me.
"ooh, is Peter Parker distracting?" he teased, making me blush.
"dad!" I threw my pen at him, and dad shut the door, laughing. The pen dropped to the floor and I went to retrieve it, realising I had a big smile on my face.

I could hear Carrie telling dad about seeing "pudderman" and I went back to my desk, trying continue my report. I started rewriting my conclusion, but quickly gave up. dad was right. I was distracted, but definitely not by Peter Parker. No way, I had a boyfriend and I had feelings for him, not Peter. But still when i went on my phone, giving up on the essay, I answered the text from Peter.

Flash <3: I'm sorry, I do trust you. Please answer me.

I grinned and ignored him

Unknown: hey, it's Peter.
Alexis: hi Peter, how's your head?
Peter P: I'll live.
Peter P: thanks to you
Alexis: no problem :)
Peter P: so, I was wondering if you wanted to do something tomorrow afternoon?
Peter P: like studying or something I meant
Peter P: cause I know you have a boyfriend.
Peter P: or just hang out as friends?
Peter P: its cool if you don't
Peter P: I was just wondering
Peter P: Alexis?
Alexis: I'd love too
Peter P: okay see you then
Peter P: :)

I switched off my phone and tried to actually concentrate on my essay, which I finally managed to finish before dinner, all the while the brown haired boy with the bruises jaw never left my mind.
