I woke up as light streamed through my window, having left the curtains open. I remembered Peter coming in, and sure enough, he was still asleep next to me, both arms around my middle, holding me against him and his cheek was pressed against my back. I wiggled out of his grasp, and he mumbled something before rolling into my pillow. I poked his shoulder to wake him, and he stirred, but didn't awake.
I poked him again and he finally woke, opening one eye and sighing.
"you woke me up." he grumbled and I laughed.
"I know, it's morning." I whispered and he groaned, Rolling my eyes, I moved three my closet and looked through for something to wear. It was the first day of break.
"Roxy's coming over, if she sees you here she'll never shut up." I warned and he rolled out of my bed, landing on the floor with a thud. I covered my mouth to stop from laughing as he sat up, shirt wrinkled.
"you gotta go home before May wakes up." I said and he groaned again, and stood up. I pulled out some black skinny jeans and threw them onto my bed, as Peter woke himself up slowly.
"you just gonna stand there forever?" I joked and he rubbed his eyes.
"maybe." he said, in a gravelly morning voice, and half-collapsed  onto my shoulder. He was warmer than usual from his sleep, and I smiled.
"I'll see you later." I said, regretfully pushing him off and taking out a dark red off the shoulder top, picking up my jeans to change in the bathroom.
I left Peter to sort himself out, and got ready for Roxy to come over.
After a quick shower, I brushed my hair and teeth and went back to my room, fully dressed. Peter was sitting at my desk, looking at the picture of us he had taken yesterday.
"told you I was a photographer." he said, grinning, and I rolled my eyes.
"okay, sure." I said and smiled. Peter glanced at the window and smiled back.
"I should go." he said and I paused, sighing, then nodded.
"right, yeah. I'll see you." I said back, and he was gone. I smiled at the window he had just disappeared through, and turned away.

I hung a red bauble on the tree, to Carrie's instruction and rolled my eyes at Roxy, who was eating popcorn and the candy canes i was trying to put on the tree.
"so was it awkward?" she asked, munching on her food and I scrunched my nose.
"not the kiss no, but we had to go have dinner together with her afterwards, and she knew full well what we were doing." I said, taking a mini reindeer out of Carrie's mouth and hanging that up too.
"she didn't tell your dad?" Roxy said, throwing a piece of popcorn to Carrie. "That's pretty cool."
I nodded and smiled.
"yeah, it was also pretty embarrassing." I repeated, and Roxy snorted.
"were you guys like, going at it?" she picked up another bauble before Carrie ate it, and a smile crept into my face at the memory of yesterday afternoon.
"yeah? I would say so. I don't know, wait till my dad leaves. I don't want him to hear this."
Roxy smirked, ignoring my last plea for quiet and pressed onwards.
"going at it like, sex?" she questioned and I glared.
"um, children present? And what is your obsession with sex, if I didn't know you I would think there was no way you were a virgin." I teased, and she stuck her tongue out.
"that's the point, plus, this isn't about me, this is about you." she chided, giving me a stern look rival to her mother.
"fine," I laughed, "continue your interrogation, with no complaints from me." I said sarcastically and Roxy grinned.
"was it leading to that?" she questioned and I opened my mouth to say something, then stopped. Was it? I remembered Peters lips trailing down my neck, if May hadn't interupted, would he have stopped, or just kept going down? I felt my cheeks burn red at the thought, and suddenly felt a little overheated.
Roxy raised her eyebrow, like she knew exactly what I was thinking, and I glared, avoiding her gaze and looking around the room instead. The mini brass chandelier from a junk shop lit up the place dimly, casting shadows onto the room. I had put out scented candles, it still smelled like pancakes though, the scent never seemed to leave the apartment. The walls were painted a brownish white, either that or they had coloured slightly with age. The wooden floor had a big shag carpet covering it, the Christmas tree crammed into a corner next to the window, making the room quite crowded with the couches too. The big wooden sideboard was filled with wine and books, the glass doors locked shut to protect it from Carrie's little hands.
"Alexis, was it?" Roxy said, a little quieter than before, and we both jumped at the door opening.
"I'm going now girls, don't get in trouble!" dad called out and Roxy winked at me.
"I won't." I called back, and Roxy laughed.
"no promises." she whispered, and I rolled my eyes.
Once the door shut I took off my scarf, and Roxy caught sight of my neck, and her mouth dropped open.
"jeez, in the back room of your uncles store?" she said and I shrugged sheepishly.
"I always thought Peter was shy." she said, looking at the purplish blue mark on my neck, and I shrugged.
"yeah, he is." I said and Roxy hummed, taking another ornament and handing to me.
"doesn't look like it." she said and I hushed her, moving the conversation away from me.
"still going with Jeremy?" I asked and she glared at me, throwing a piece of popcorn at my head. I ducked.
"it's Jason, and no, we just kissed at his party. You're the only one getting action." I ignored the latter sentence and laughed, shaking my head.
"still single then." I teased and she threw another piece of popcorn.
I grinned and pulled a candycane from her hand.
"stop eating all the candy canes, you're as bad as Carrie." I scolded and she snorted again.
"is that meant to be a bad thing?" she said and I rolled my eyes.
