Peter held me upright the whole way back to his apartment, which didn't take as long as I though it would. Unfortunately by the time we had gotten there, Al the alcohol I had had that night was all soaked in, and I was drunk.
"shh, Alexis there are people sleeping." he covered my mouth with his hand and I glared at him.
"I'm not loud." my voice was muffled by Peters hand and he shook his head. Clearly he wasn't entirely sure what he was meant to be doing.
"well, my apartment is just further up here, aunt May went out so..." he paused as another resident from the building went past.
"so you can stay the night." he finished and I nodded, somewhat dazed
He took his key out if his pocket and unlocked the door to his apartment and again, I realised how homey it was. He moved into the kitchen and I collapsed down onto the couch. I heard talking from the kitchen, Peters voice quietly saying something, was he on the phone?
I leant back into the pillow and took a deep breath. My mind was racing and I didn't stop it, staring blankly at the wall. I heard a beep and Peter came and sat next to me on the couch. I felt it dip with his weight and waited for him to talk.
"that was aunt May, she, Uh, she says it's alright for you to stay over, you can sleep on my bed and I'll just sleep on the couch." he told me and I nodded, unsure of what to do next.
"I've still got homework so, do you want to stay here? Or..."
"I'll help you." I decided, standing up quickly and Peter quickly held onto me. I took a sharp intake of breath, and stood frozen, Peter did too.
I leaned forwards and kissed his lips, and he still hardly moved, only lifting his hand to my face. I pulled back and saw his eyes squeezed shut, and smiled. He opened them, and smiled back, now red.
"so, your homework?" I whispered and confusion filled his face.
"my what?" I grinned, secretly proud of myself for making Peter forget about homework.
"I'll help you with your homework." I told him and recognition lit up his face. I moved away and went down the hall to his bed room, and he followed, looking concerned.
I sat on the floor next to a spread of books and papers, picking up the nearest one to read his writing.
"That's for science." he told me and I nodded, flipping it over and scanning the other side. Peter settled down next to me and started again on his work. I lay on the floor beside him and listening to his pen scratching the page, as he wrote his notes over again.
I felt slow and tired, and tried to think back to how many drinks I had. A shot with Roxy when we got there, then a vodka and soda, then after Flash came, at least another three more shots and then a jello shot...
Peter crossed out a sentence, and mumbled something, rewriting it.
"you should text your dad." Peter told me and I nodded, pulling out my phone.

Alexis: I'm at a friends house, is it okay if I stay over?
Alexis: I'm in queens
Dad: yes, but make sure you get to school on time tomorrow
Alexis: I will

I dropped my phone on the floor next to me and turned on my side to go back to watching Peter work. My phone beeped and I picked it up again, squinting at the bright light.

Rox: heading home now
Rox: are you at Peters?
Alexis: yup
Rox: ooh are you going to kiss him?
Alexis: well I did
Rox: and?
Alexis: he didn't seem to mind
Alexis: I don't think this is going to turn out good
Rox: why not???
Alexis: um because I'm drunk?
Rox: srsly? Haha
Alexis: NO THIS IS BAD
Rox: why? So what you're a little tipsy? Makes things fun ;)
Alexis: I'm not tipsy I had like six drinks
Rox: thing you'll remember this in the morning?
Alexis: ROXY I NEED HELPP
Rox: IK U DO
Alexis: Nono u don't get ittt I'm staying over at Peters tonight and. I'm. Drunk.
Rox: so??
Alexis: what if I do something bad? Rox: then u'll have to deal with it in the morning
Alexis: fiiine
Rox: NOW GO BACK TO PETER
Alexis: bye

"Peter, do you have a charger?" I called, hearing a slight slur in my voice
"yeah, it's next to my bed."
I glanced over to his bed, about a foot away from my arm and crinkled my nose.
"that's so far." I groaned, dropping my head back to the floor. And I heard him chuckle, a frown pulling at my lips.
"you're laughing at me." I pouted and he nodded.
"I think you're drunker than you thought." he told me and I shook my head in denial.
"I hardly drank anything!" I exclaimed and Peter nodded
"yeah, okay." he responded.
I huffed and he huffed back, mocking me. I bit back a smile, and watched him write, pen going back and forth, over and over and over. Well this is boring.
"you're being a great help there, Lexa." Peter declared and I giggled
"you're welcome." I sang and he stared at me amused.
"you sure you're not drunk?"
"a hundred per cent." I answered firmly and he raised an eyebrow.
"a hundred per cent drunk?" he asked me and I went over it in my head.
"a hundred per cent not." I confirmed and he nodded
"if you say so..."
Hummed, relaxed now. Peters room had the same scent as he did.
"Watcha doin?" I questioned and he help up a textbook.
"biology."
"yuck." he laughed again, otherwise ignoring me.
"well, I have to do this for the rest of the night." he told me and I felt I lightness in my stomach.
The rest of the night. I'm staying with Peter for the rest of the night.
