I was sitting on my bed, listening to music on the stereo, when I heard a voice muffled outside my window. I looked up, curious, when a body crashed through the open window, and I screamed. skidding across my desk and sending my things everywhere they landed on the floor of my room with a groan and I rushed towards him, still in shock.
"Spiderman? What the-"
"honey? Are you alright in there?" Uncle Jack called and I snapped my head up to the door that he was starting to open.
"wait!" I lunged across the room and held the door shut.
"Alexis? What's happening."
I looked back at the masked hero lying on my floor, panting and shook my head
"a bird flew into my window, it just scared me a bit." I said and put my ear against the door, hoping he would believe me and go back downstairs.
"are you sure? Can I come in?"
"um, hold on I'm still getting changed!" I said and I heard Uncle Jack sigh and walk away
"okay, i'm just checking in on
you."
He said and I sighed in relief as he left
"thanks!" I waited a bit longer after getting no reply before inhaling deeply and turning back to Spiderman, Spiderman is in my room???
I moved back to my bed and waited for him to catch his breath, not making a single sound.
"do you- know- how to sew?" he said, breathing heavily and not moving from his place on the floor
"do i- what?" I asked stunned and he slowly lifted his hand, I frowned, growing more and more confused by the second. He shot a web, narrowly missing my head and I jumped.
"hey! What was that for? I can sew, okay gosh." I shook my head but he still didn't speak again. He pulled on the web and the room was flooded with light. I turned to see that he wasn't aiming for my face, but for the light switch. He groaned again and i turned back to him, and my mouth dropped open. There was a huge gash across his chest, tearing through his suit and skin, and dripping blood on the floor. I don't know how I didn't see it from the light of my bedside lamp."holy shit, what happened." I knelt down next to him and stared in horror at the wound.
"just a scrape." he mumbled his chest rising and falling unevenly
"Uh huh, And Rihanna is just a person. No. What did you do?" I asked, softly running my fingers around the large cut, noticing his breathing speed up further and trying not to smile through my horror.
"so, can you stitch it up?" he said, lifting his head up to look at me. I nodded, but I wasn't looking forward to it. Or...
Maybe I could just heal it completely?
"yeah, but your gonna have to take it off." I said, hoping he wouldn't think I was strange.
Spiderman nodded and tried to sit up, before stopping at the pain in his chest and wincing
"can you help me up?" he asked, and I nodded, holding onto his arm, I tried to ignore the warmth spreading throughout me, and slowly getting him into a sitting position. Spiderman clenched his jaw and cried out, grabbing hold of my arm and I stopped, heart pounding.
"are you sure you don't need a hospital?" I asked him and he nodded, saying something in a muffled voice I couldn't understand. I looked at him in question and he lifted his hand to behind his head pulling up his mask to above his nose and giving me a mini heart attack
"what are you doing?" I explained, slapping a hand over my eyes.
"I couldn't talk properly." he said, voice laced with pain and much clearer now without the mask. And much more familiar, but I couldn't figure out why. His voice sounded fake and oddly deep.
"I thought you were going to take it off completely." I whispered and he chuckled
"no. Speaking of which, I don't think I'll be able to get the suit off" he said and i shrugged.
"it's fine. Look away though, you probably won't want to see." I said, and his mouth curved into a smile.
"I think I could handle it" he said and I rolled my eyes
"close your eyes Spiderboy." I said and he laughed again
"Spiderboy?" he asked and I raised my eyebrow.
"yes, Spider boy."
"my eyes are closed."
"are they? How many fingers am I holding up." I asked, and flipped him the middle finger. He smiled again, resting his head back on the floor and putting down my hand
"okay, i'm not looking." he said softly, making me feel lighter somehow, and I smiled. After checking once more that he wasn't looking I held my hand above his chest, and concentrated. My hand began to glow brighter, and the familiar purple aura spilled out, dancing slowly around my hand and weaving between my fingers, sparkling and bright. I looked back at Spider-Man, and was satisfied to see that his head was still on the floor, he wasn't looking. I moved my hand, sending the purple essence into his cut and watching his chest glow slightly as well. The cut started to knit together, forming a jagged white scar.
"well looks like your spider powers have given you extensive healing. There's nothing to stitch except the suit" I said, sitting back and watching the magic fade from the air. He lifted up his head, seemingly confused
"that's never happened before though." he said, sitting up and running his hand over the now Smooth skin. I looked away, ignoring the thoughts that were going on through my head. Just like the first time I saw him, his suit was tight.
"can I tell you something-" just as he started to speak, the door knob twisted and the door swung open before I could stop it.
