Chapter 7
For the next few days I kept my head down and avoided Maxine, to be honest it wasn't hard to avoid her I was either at college or work and she was busy doing whatever she does. I loved going to work it was fun spending time with Robbie and after work we would usually hang around and have something to eat, I also didn't have to be back by curfew anymore due to the fact that I had stolen Sienna's key and made a copy so I could come and go whenever I wanted but I usually got back around the time of curfew because Sandy was trying to keep Robbie behaving so he had to be back by ten.
College had also been pretty good so far. I'm not usually one for education as I never really used to show up but if I wanted to stick around then I had to attend and it didn't even bother me. I would hang around with Callum and George, who had clearly forgiven me for talking to Robbie, or I would just get some work done so I didn't have to do it at home. People must've been talking about me and Callum hanging around because Robbie kept dropping it into conversation and when I went into price slice the other day Holly looked like she wanted to kill me.
It was Saturday and Maxine was out as usual so I was laid on the sofa reading The Great Gatsby again for my English, nobody was in so I was pretty much enjoying spending time to myself when my phone started buzzing on the coffee table near 'my bed' I reached over to find that it was Robbie.
"Hey." I answered in a bored tone.
"Bored?" He asked me and I could hear noise in the background.
"You could say that. Any particular reason you have rang me or are you just missing the sound of my voice?" I asked him but it came out harsher than I wanted it to.
"Just missing you. Only joking, I know that Doug gave us both the day off and me and the guys were wondering if you wanted to come hang out at the garage?"
"Ermmm…" I was seriously debating to just go to sleep whilst nobody was in the house.
"Tell her I'll drag her down here if she says no." I heard one of the other guys call from the background.
"Ziggy says he'll drag you to the garage if he has to." Robbie repeated what I had heard.
"I heard him. You can tell him that I'm going to sleep and locking the door." I told Robbie and I then heard him repeat it back to Ziggy who laughed. "I might come down later if the offer is still up for then?"
"It's open all day. See you." There was something in his tone of voice that made me think that he was pissed off but I just brushed it off.
"See you." I hung up and threw my phone back on the table.
I then locked the door and went back to bed with hopes of getting a few hours of sleep.
___
"Wakey. Wakey." I heard someone shout and then the cool breeze hit my body, I opened my eyes to find Ziggy with my covers in his hands and Freddie with a grin on his face.
"Never underestimate the Roscoes." Freddie told me and then laughed at his brother who had thrown the covers on the floor and was getting ready to grab me.
"Don't you dare." I warned him.
"I told you I would come get you Minnie, I even gave you time but two hours later I knew I was going to have to come get you." Ziggy stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"But I was sleeping. And I locked the door, how the hell did you get in?" Ziggy looked at Freddie as I asked the question so I turned to Freddie and raised my eyebrows.
"I told Maxine that I left my phone in the flat so she gave me her key to get it." Freddie explained and I realised that they really were deceitful. "Is this really your bed?"
