Fifty years later

I walked up to the attic to see what I could get rid of. My great grandfather, Alaric, had passed away. I had taken care of him in his house but now that he had passed and my husband and I were getting ready to have children, I had to get rid of some of the boxes in the attic. I pulled one of the boxes down and read the side. Kitchen.

I kept moving around until I found a chest. I opened up the chest and looked inside. Everything was covered in dust and I brushed some of it off only to see the Nazi symbol. I picked up the fabric and a complete Nazi German uniform was there. I laid it next to me after refolding and then picked up a journal that was filled with coordinates and memories. The whole chest was filled with German books and Nazi symbols.

"Babe? You okay?" my husband asked as he climbed up to the attic. I looked at him and he looked at everything I found. "Was your family Nazis?"

"I remember them telling me about the war and such but I thought they fought for America," I told him and he bit his lip.

"Why not ask your mom?" he asked. I dialled my mom's number and it ring twice before she answered.

"Hello," my mother said.

"Mom, I think you need to explain something to me," I whispered and I started telling her everything that I found.
