I started cleaning out some of the guns that we hadn't used so we wouldn't have a malfunction when it came down to it. Also, I wanted Abella to think that we were clean. Or at least I was.
"So she is coming again tonight?" Butch asked. I looked at him.
"Can you maybe not embarrass me in front of her tonight?" I asked as I put one of the rifles back in their case.
"I already told the guys to leave you two alone so you could court her properly," he said. We bumped elbows and he pulled out a cigarette.
"I owe you, Butch," I told him and he shrugged.
"It's not a problem. You would do the same for me, right?" he asked. I nodded.
"Yes, I would," I said, "I mean the war will be over soon and we will need wives, won't we?" He laughed.
"You know it," he said and I laughed as I picked up another gun.

"Good evening boys!" the eldest Thomas sister said as the sisters walked in. Abella was the last one to walk in and I smiled at her.
"Good evening ladies," Rat said. Abella walked passed them and to me.
"Good evening, Alaric," she said. I smiled at her and she blushed.
"Good evening, Abella," I said. She smiled and I offered my hand to her. She took my hand lightly and I kissed her hand.
"Alaric, you look well tonight," she said and I looked at her outfit. High waisted jeans and a tucked in the band of the jeans was a white collared shirt.
"You look beautiful," I told her and she smiled at me with an innocent smile.
"I thought that pants would be better to learn how to shoot in," she stated. I laughed a little and she sudddenly hugged me.
"Oh, hello," I said and she smiled up at me.
"Hello. I just figure that if Fate put us together, I should treat you like my gift from Fate and the Lord," she said and I put an arm around her.
"I am not your gift, you are my gift for even meeting you and then you to return tonight," I said as I walked towards the guns, while holding her hand. She squeezed my hand and I smiled to myself.
"Are you good with a gun?" she asked as I picked up a training gun.
"Tiny here is the best. I think that Barrel is jealous at how good this guy can shoot," Kipling said as he grabbed some beers.
"Shut up," I told him as I filled the gun with pellets.
"I honestly think that Patch is more upset at the fact that Tiny was a better shot than he thought," Orange said. The boys started laughing.
"Pardon my French but boys, shut the f**k up," I said.
"Such a gentleman," one of the girls said.
"Bernadette! Excuse my sister but she doesn't understand that she can't call out soldiers," Abella told me as her sister walked over.
"Abella, you know better than to flirt with soldier boys like him," Bernadette said as she looked up at me. She was slightly shorter than her sister but just as beautiful. I might even say more.
"Alaric is-" Abella said.
"No. He is a soldier boy and you weren't even suppose to come with us. That's why you are going home since Father was angry yesterday," Bernadette stated and I raised my eyebrow. "She's fifteen." I tried my hardest not to make a face and Abella stormed away.
"If I had known, I would have-" I started. She shook her head.
"She says she's seventeen by she isn't. Maybe you and I can go for a walk?" she asked. I chuckled and nodded.
"Sure, now that I seem to have nothing to do," I said as I rubbed the back of my neck. She smiled and walked ahead of me. I followed.
"Can I be honest?" she asked as she turned around and walked backwards. I raised my eyebrow.
"We should all be honest," I said as she watched me.
"Abella went after you because I noticed you a few weeks ago and thought that you were very handsome," she said, "I am the one that called you Fate because you weren't like the other guys that were trying to get our attention and you were my type."
"What? Small?" I asked. She blushed and nodded as she stopped.
"You are handsome," she whispered and I stepped closer so we were chest to chest.
"You are just as beautiful," I whispered as I laced our fingers together.
"My friends would go crazy if they found out that I was interested in a German man," she said, "An Aryan at that." I chuckled.
"And why is that?" I asked.
"We are kinda at war with each other," she laughed lightly, "or rather our countries are." I knew I was doing the same thing as I was with Abella but what is the chances that two girls were interested in me in the middle of nowhere but everything.
"Just because I am German and a soldier, it doesn't mean I agree with what is going on," I said and her jaw fell a little.
"You are truly a gift to humanity," she said. I smiled and stepped back.
"Don't worry. It will be over soon and then there will be no wars to worry about again," I said. She shrugged.
"I guess that would be the case," she said. She smirked. "Wanna make a bet?" I raised an eyebrow.
"On?" I asked as she stepped closer.
"Who will win the war. France and England or Germany," she said. I bit my lip and nodded.
"Winner gets to decide what they win," I said as I stuck out my hand. She shook it before bursting into laughter. I smiled and shook my head at her.
