'Uh... The ice is... Slippery.' I smiled, looking at my hands.
'Yeah. Sorry about my friends back there, they're immature and don't understand how this isn't funny at all.'
'Don't worry,' I said 'Thank you for- helping. Me.' My cheeks were burning. Why was I like this? I never stutter.
He giggled 'Cool,' he cleared his throat as we started walking 'What's your name?' He asked
'Zariah.' I huffed, feeling self conscious of my name.
'Wow. That's an amazing name.' He beamed.
I puffed out a laugh and said, 'I don't think so,' I looked at him 'I think it's weird'
'No it's not. It's cool.'
'What's yours?' I studied his eyes.
'Addison'
'Unique' I mumbled. He heard me and laughed 'Thank you.'We kept on talking for 10 minutes until we reached a crossroad. We stopped.
'I'm here,' I smiled at him
'Okay. Nice to meet you.' His eyes were shining. Lively.
'Nice to meet you too. And thank you for uh... helping me.'
'No worries. See you around.'
He waved goodbye and I got into my house. I felt a couple tingly feelings in my stomach. Was that what they called 'butterflies'?
