School

It was a Monday morning. I got up and then chilled on the couch in the living room. Then, something struck me. SCHOOL.
School, was in a week! A week! I live in a part of Europe where you get 12 weeks off school. I had one week left. One. I can't go to school, pregnant. I can't.
My hands were on Addison's shoulders in seconds.
'Wake up, Addison!'
'Mm...' he mumbled 'what?' He opened his eyes.
'Addison, I've remembered. I have school in a week!!!' I panicked.
'Shit.' He got up from his air mattress.
'What am I going to do? I can't go to school carrying a baby.' My body sat on Addison's mattress.
He sighed, panicking too.
'Well, just not go.'
'They'll call my mom, they'll visit my house.'
'You live here, don't you?' He pointed out.
'I... I don't know.'
'I'll call them in a formal accent explaining that you're moving to a different continent of Europe.'
'Like they'll buy that.' I muttered
'Trust me, I'm very convincing.'

Within 40 minutes of hearing Addison's constant 'buts' and 'well shes'  on the phone, he came in with a smile, holding the phone in his hand.
'They bought it.' He smirked.
'They'll want evidence that I'm moving to a different school, I presume.'
'No need. They believe me and say that you're a good student and trust that you'll do good in the future'
'Wow. Expect that I'm not. I'm going to be a single, full-time, teen parent who's stuck in the house 24/7. Looking after this kid who wasn't intentional and wasn't I said flatly.
He sighed, frowning.
'What? It's the truth. Don't try and think that not what's going to happen, Addison.'
I left the room. Then I realized I needed to go to my scan appointment. Shit. My head peered round the door, 'we need to go to the scan.'
He turned around 'okay. I'll get your coat.'
Before we knew it, we were out of the door and on our way to to the doctors in a very awkward silence. I hated this so much.
