I spent the rest of the day in my room sleeping as I was tired as fuck. I woke up to see Brendon, Sarah and Josh sitting on the floor. I rolled my eyes and buried under the covers. "Mariah we know your awake" Sarah giggled. "Lets let her think she's a lizard babe" Brendon joked. "No they're chameleons" Josh says. "Also known as josh duns hair" Sarah added. "Shes camouflaging? Ohh" Brendon says.

"Ugh!" I threw a pillow at them and huddled under the duvet, not wanting to come out. "That was mean" Josh pouted. "Hey" Sarah got up and sat on the edge of me bed. "How are you feeling?" She asks me, soft toned. "I'm sad" I mumble. I wasn't sad. I felt like I was drowning. I was far from sad. I wanted to scream. I was falling. I felt like this wasn't real. I wanted to fall into a hole and never come out. "You've been in bed all day sweetie. You should get up. We can order a pizza o-or go watch a movie. It's up to you" She says. I didn't reply. I wanted to curl up into a ball and cry my eyes out.

"Let's go maybe for a bit" Josh suggests. Sarah patted my shoulder and the three adults left the room. After the door was shut and their footsteps couldn't he heard I started to cry. I hated this. I couldn't tell them how I was feeling or about the past. I hated living in fear. I hated myself. Ever since Josh found out about my scars things have been horrible. I wish he never found out.

I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't. Brendon knocked on the door and then came inside, knowing I wouldn't talk. "Let's go for a walk" he says brightly. I hesitated then agreed. I sat up and reached for my jeans but he stopped me. "Fuck that. Go in your jammies" he says. I put my converse on and looked at my pyjamas. I was wearing a white top and black leggings. Yes I didn't wear proper pyjamas to bed most of them time. But oh well.

He waited for me by the door while I got my coat and beanie and phone. After I came out my room I have josh a hug and he told me to have fun for a bit. Sarah gave me a hug to and told me I was the strongest girl she'd ever met.

But was I really?

Me and Brendon headed out and it felt good to have the night air around me. I felt comfortable in the atmosphere. "Let's get you a snack" he says, leading me into McDonalds. We each got an ice cream each. As we stood in line I noticed Matt with some guy. "I'll be back in a bit" I mumble to Brendon, gesturing to the two in love boys. "Aw is that your friend?" He asks me. I nodded. "Aww! Alright you go" he grinned. I smiled shyly and went up to the boys.

"Mariah!? Hey!" Matt hugged me. "Hey! Is this your boyfriend?" I smiled. "Yeah. Mariah this is Kieran. Kieran this is Mariah. My friend" he says. "It's nice to meet you" Kieran shook my hand. He had curly brown hair and striking blue eyes. "Likewise. Aww you guys are so cute!" I squealed. "Is that your Dad?" Matt gestured to Brendon. "Uncle" I replied. "Thats Brendon Urie! Oh my god! Matt, he's the guy who wrote Girls/Girls/Boys!! He's amazing!" Kieran gushed.

"Your related to him!?" He asks. "Not really. He's my dads friend so he's kindaaaa my Uncle? But he acts like a friend so" I shrugged. "Can I meet him? PLEASE!?" Kieran begged. "As soon as he saw you two he fangirled himself. that's a definite yes" I replied. "One sec" I said, going back to Brendon.

So he did meet the boys and made them super happy. I ate my McFlurry, smiling. But after that we headed out and walked around. "I've raised you well" Brendon fake cried. "Okay Brendon" I smiled shyly. "Your smiling. Your happy you did something good today" he grinned. "Ok you got me - I'm weird" I giggle. "That's good. Who the fuck wants to be normal" he said to me. "True"

But after our ice creams were finish I suggested we got Josh and Sarah some snacks to. Then we headed home, smiled on our faces.

We got inside and saw Josh and Sarah playing with Penny Lane and Bogart. I stepped back as I was frightened of dogs. "What's wrong?" Brendon asked me. "Umm...I'm scared of dogs" I mumbled. "Is that it? That's fine. I'm scared of spiders" he says. "They're so cute though" I squealed. "One sec" He put Sarah's tea and Josh's coffee on counter and picked up Penny Lane.

He cuddled her and cooed her then came over to me. I cowered back, stupidly. "It's okay to be scared" he assured me. He sat down and put her in his lap. "Go on. She won't bite and if she does I won't make you do this" he says. "I-i can't" I stammer. "Hey it okay. It'll be okay I promise" he says.

I stepped forward. UGH SHES SO CUTE. I put my hand out and she jerked. I quickly moved back, frightened. why am i so scared? I tried again and this time she stayed still. My fingers touched her head gently and I stroked her. She relaxed. "You did it!" Brendon grinned. "I did it" I whisper.

"Hey! How was your night?" Josh came over with Sarah who was holding Bogart. Brendon placed Penny in my lap while I held her close. "Her friends are the nicest people ever" Brendon says. "Because Im their friend" I joked. They all chuckled at me. "We should probably head out" Sarah says, sipping her drink.

I hugged Brendon and Sarah and petted the dogs. After they went I hugged Josh to. "Thank you" I mumbled. "I-it was nothing" He said awkwardly. "It wasn't nothing. Thank you.. I love you" I didn't realise what I'd said. But I knew I meant it.
