She remained true to her word

She remained true to her word. Although Samir had mercilessly grounded her, but she herself did not leave the house even for the university. The atmosphere in the house always seemed to be tense. Because Johum and her relationship with her father was on rough road.

And she made no effort to take it on a smooth road. She just let go.

And she was still angry after one week of angry stares, palms slamming on the table and banging of the doors. She was still angry.

Angry at what?

She was not angry at her father precisely but the person who refused to leave her mind. Because he was imprinted in it. He terrified her. He was her nightmare. And she hated him.

A week had passed and Johum had not asked her father about Zayan. She knew he was giving her space, giving her time to make a move or he will. And she knew he was very close to striking. A strike that will cause destruction.

But she did not want him in her life. She was scared of him. She didn't know if he was abusive, if he'd hit her and what was his motive behind this marriage. He was a psycho and he wanted her.

A few times she was tempted to tell everything to her father and brother. But she couldn't bring herself to. Because she couldn't risk their lives.

Johum also did not have any guts to ask her father about Zayan. Maybe if she delayed it he would forget about her. Maybe if she ignored him, he will ignore her in return.

On Sunday, after a week, she had decided to go and do what her heart has been telling her. So she got up from her overused bed and started getting ready. She was not grounded anymore.

She pulled on a thick black pair of jeans with a red trench coat. She put up her hair in a ponytail and walked out of the room. As soon as she stepped out, she was met with the sight of Murat walking towards her room. He started upon her sight and then stopped.

"Good morning." Johum started. Since she had not been talking to Samir, she ignored Murat too even when she did not want to. And now she felt guilty. He had just been looking after her, trying his best with her and she was being difficult. She knew she was being difficult.

"Morning. I was coming to talk to you." Murat confessed, running his tongue over his lips.

"Okay. What is it?" She asked, fully facing him.

"Johum - what is going on? I thought you changed. Why are you going back to the way you were?" He hissed out the last sentence in anger, his eyebrows scrunched together as his lips turned in to a frown.

"Me - wha...I don't understand." She asked in confusion but at the back of her mind, a small part knew what he was talking about.

"This behaviour is not acceptable." Murat crossed his arms, "You and dad, you both have a hard relationship. And I don't blame him." He glared at her. Murat braced himself for screaming from her side but she remained silent.
