After standing in silence for a few moments, she continued. She took advantage of the fact that he was answering her instead of being an ass.

"Did you ever kill someone?" She asked softly, he chuckled bitterly at that, still staring outside the window.

"I was fourteen when I had my first kill princess," he faced her terrified face. Zayan pulled out his hand from his pocket and caressed her cheek, "You have to kill to survive in this world. This is the world princess, the world I live in." He removed his hand and watched her step back. Johum gulped.

"Then, why did you marry me?" She whispered, looking at the floor. She had finally realized that she was married to a criminal, associated with a mafia lord.

"Last night, I brought you there so you could be familiar with my world. But," He shook his head, ignoring her question. "You're being protected Johum, your entire family is being protected as long as you're with me." Johum looked up at him.

"But how?" She shook her head, "Why?" He just stared at her.

"Everything has a time Johum. You'll know when the time comes."  He told her,

"But-"

"Thats enough." She ran a hand through her hair irritatedly. What was she supposed to do? It was not like she had any choice. He did everything his own way, and she knew that if she tried something, the consequences would fall on her family. And she couldn't stress Murat after what he had gone through last year. Losing his child was enough shock for him to last a lifetime. She didn't want to increase his worries.

He just started living happily.

Zayan's phone rang in his pocket. He placed the cup on the table and pulled out the device from his pocket. Frowning at the screen, he walked out of the room whilst he received the call. Johum looked around his room and then stared outside the window. Looking at the window, she remembered that she had no shoes to wear now. How would she go back home? Well, she did have one boot but that didn't count. She couldn't walk with one boot on and she couldn't go barefooted because it was snowing and even Zayan's thick socks wouldn't help.

Today turned out to be a good day even though she had dreaded coming along with him. She thought they would fight the entire time but she was wrong. She was honestly surprised that Zayan explained some things to her even though he had his head up his butt twenty four seven. And he had been civil for most of the time. He only threatened her two times today. And that was good.

Her trip down memory lane ended when she heard the door behind her creaking open. Johum turned around, expecting him to grace her with his presence but frowned when found a small person in place of him. Realizing that it was Rüya, Zayan's daughter, she became nervous. It was funny how a little, innocent child could make her nervous.

But she did. Her heart pounded in her chest and she wanted her to go away. But she wasn't that rude to snap at a little girl or tell her to get out. No matter what, she was still a child after all. So Johum wrung her hands together and swallowed.

Rüya looked up at her, "Hi." She smiled and entered the room, leaving the door ajar. She had a teddy bear hugged to her chest and her straight hair were in two ponytails.

"Hi." Johum whispered, feeling uncomfortable.

"You're here again." Rüya commented, "Why are you wearing baba's clothes?" She asked with a grin. Johum  looked down at her shirt and cleared her throat. She walked over to the sofa and sat down.

"My clothes were wet." She muttered, not looking at the little girl. Rüya strode forward and stood in front of her.

"Okay." She nodded, "I have candies, do you want some?" She opened her little fist and showed her multi colored gummy bears.
