It was dark everywhere with an eerie silence surrounding her. She took a step forward hesitantly, her heart thrashing in her chest and when her feet touched the ground, she realized that she was not wearing any shoes. Johum's eyes were wide with terror as she looked around but it was no use because she could not see anything.

There wasn't even a speck of light in her vision. But the silence wasn't long lasting. A bloodcurdling scream tore through the thick silence making her cover her ears and crouch down in fear. Her heart went wild and her breathing picked up as one scream followed the other. She could hear the screams around her, the screams were of the same person, particularly a girl. She pressed her hands firmly to her ears and gritted her teeth. Her eyes were pinched closed as she tried to block out the screams and stop herself from trembling.

Then eventually the screams turned in to pleading words. Please don't. Please. I trusted you!

Her eyes shot open and once again she was confided in to darkneess but this time she recognized the screams. Mira. It was Mira. Small whisperes of her name left her mouth as she started running in haphazard direction.

The whispers turned in to screams as Johum called out for her. She screamed her name. Strangely, she could envision what was going to happen so she ran and ran—trying to reach at the exact time and protect her best friend from those monsters. Unfortunately, she seemed to be running nowhere.

The scene dissolved in to another place, where she could see the light and see everything around her. Her breathing was still uneven and she was looking around wildly, but she couldn't recognize the place. She was trapped within a room—no, it wasn't a room, it was just a small box with four walls with barely a place to stand.

Johum yelled, banged at the walls to open up. They were closing in on her but the more she cried, the more they closed on her. She couldn't take it. There wasn't enough place for her to breath. She grabbed her neck and heaved heavy breaths, trying to get oxygen in her lungs but there was no oxygen left.

She gagged and her eyes opened wide as she looked around. She was gonna die, she was moving towards death. She saw the scene in front of her swirling and then she found herself at a club, sitting in the corner of sofa.

Her leather clad legs were crossed elegantly and there was a cigarette in between her two fingers. Her broad lips were painted a deep red and her eyes lined with a glittery black eyeliner. Her hair were up in a ponytail and bangs were falling over her eyes. She looked sexy, she felt sexy. It felt good. She brought the smoking stick to her mouth and softly sucked on it. The taste made her close her eyes and she exhaled the smoke through her nose.

"I've got something." Mehmet sat besides her, bouncing the sofa lightly as he did so. Johum's face turned towards him and she exhaled smoke softly.

"What?" She asked, taking a drag of the smoke once again. The smirking boy took out an injection from his pocket and winked at her.

"Wanna try some? It'll take you to heaven." She eyed the yellow liquid in the syringe and her brows came together. She knew that Mehmet was in to shady business and he never had anything good with him. She eyed the cigarette in her hand and frowned. What could hurt more, right? She had seen her friend being murdered, she took coccaine on daily basis, she was used to drugs. What more harm an injection could do?

It would bring more pleasure than pain. She wasn't doing anything wrong. The powder didn't affect her that much so how would a mere injection? Lifting her alluring eyes, she took a drag of smoke and winked at her friend. She thrust her arm out and pulled the sleeve up.

"Everything has a first time." Johum laughed as she saw the look in Mehmet's eyes. He was surprised.

"Damn!" It was the first injection that she took and she could never stop. She took it every two days, for the next two years.
