"Before you get angry at me I want to apologise," before he can continue I bitterly say "Forgive you?", I scoff before continuing, "you must be mental to think that I would forgive you again," I say angrily.
The tension around us is thick as nobody speaks.
Shawn suddenly takes a deep breath before saying, "I was jealous."
"Jealous?", I ask confused.
"Yes jealous, of you. This morning what happened was not out of jealousy I was just having a bad day. I am really sorry for treating you like that," Shawn says sadly as he looks down. "I was jealous of you because you have Josh and Jess. Im not sure if they told you but we all used to be friends before I blew up on vine. They were always there for me," Shawn smiles before continuing, "All these people that never paid attention to me were suddenly all willing to be my friend. I was so naïve to even realise that some were fake. And I lost them. They never smiled or laughed and then suddenly you came," he says before looking at me.
"I've never seen them this happy in a long time, and I was jealous that it wasn't because of me. This morning when you said 'I know' when I introduced myself I figured that you knew I was from vine. Im just so sick of people being so fake," he says bitterly. I put my hand on his shoulder.
"It's okay, I kind of get it. I can't imagine how it must feel to not know who is real and who isn't," I say.
I'm proud of myself. Old me would've something unimaginable, but I forgave him. I smile at the thought.
Shawn laughs bitterly, "Gosh, I'm so sorry, Cassandra was it? I have apologised twice today. I'm really not like this. Those people changed me," he looks down sadly.
"Hey, I might have only known you for a day but I'm changing aswell," I laugh before continuing, "old me wouldn't have forgave you or anything. I hate change to be honest for reasons that I'm not ready to explain. But I guess change is good," I smile at him.
"Changing isn't a bad thing and it never was
But at the end of the day you know, you're the same person
And, and where your heart is, that doesn't change," Shawn mutters.
He turns to me and smiles. He looks so cute right now. No he doesn't. What the hell am I thinking. "Thank you, I just came up with something for a song," he laughs.
His demeanour suddenly changes to being very serious. "Do you think they'll forgive me? Jess and Josh?", Shawn looks down sadly. I put my hand on his shoulder before saying, "Yes are you crazy? I've known them for a day and I can tell that they really do love you and miss you," I smile at him.
He laughs with the biggest smile ever before hugging me. I laugh as I hug him back. I feel Jess and Josh join the hug.
