Chapter 25

CASS POV

I jolt awake hearing a snoring sound, I cover my mouth with my hand surpressing a giggle. I look to my left and see Shawn laying on his stomach, mouth slightly parted and snoring.

I touch my lips lightly thinking of the night before. I honestly feel better talking to Shawn about it. He was honestly such a gentleman and just sat there listening.

I do admit I am slightly confused as to where Shawn and I are right now, relationship wise.

I grab my phone that was laying on the floor to check the time. 10:29am. Crap, we have to leave the park by 11. I shake Shawn's shoulder trying to wake him up. "Shawn, Shawn wake up. We have to go."

Shawn just grunts and continues sleeping, pfft heavy sleeper. I squeeze Shawn shoulder, pinch his back, light hit his face. I sigh, nothing is working.

"Shawn seriously, we need to clean up and leave," I grumble.

He does nothing. Deciding to be very brave I quickly kiss his cheek. Movement? Nope, nada nothing happened.

I start to panick, he stopped snoring. Is he dead?

I put my ear close to his mouth to hear if he is breathing when I am pulled on top of Shawn.

"Morning," Shawn says in a morning husky voice.

"Oh my gosh you were awake!"

Shawn just laughs and stares I to my eyes, we stay like that until I realise our close proximity.

I feel the heat travel to my cheeks, I put my hands on his chest trying to push away. This just causes him to pull me against him and tightening our grip. "Can I kiss you again, please?", Shawn whispers looking deeply into my eyes.

My heart starts beating rapidly, my mind gets all foggy causing me to not be able to speak. Instead I just nod, Shawn smiles sweetly at me before taking my face into his hands.

We both lean in, my eyes flutter close. I lips just barely touch when we hear something tap the tent.

"Come on love birds, you guys have to be out by 11," we hear a unfamiliar voice say.

If possible I blush even more. Shawn places his forehead against mine and sighs "We need to continue this later," he pecks my cheek. I get off of him and start packing up all the blankets and cushions whilst he goes outside to pack up everything outside. Within in 10 minutes we are done and in the car. Shawn and I look at each other and sigh, this causes Shawn to chuckle.

He smiles at me and places his hand on my knee. He starts the car and off we are going home.

I look down at his hand on my knee wondering if I should ask him what we are.

Shawn suddenly squeezes my leg causing me to turn and look at him.

"You okay?," Shawn asks.

I sigh, " What are we?"

"We are human, obviously. Unless your not, I don't think this is going to work,"Shawn says seriously.

I laugh at him, "You know what I mean."

Shawn sighs and looks at me sadly.......
