Chapter 24

I nervously cough, "Yea I guess." I wasn't going to tell him everything, obviously. Im not stupid.

"You don't have to, if you don't feel comfortable."

"No it's okay, it's just all really raw. So I lived in New York with my family, we had a pretty normal life. My best friend Luke, we were really close. He was like a brother to me, I loved him a lot. One day he seemed really weird but I just kind of ignored it. His boyfriend stopped hanging out with us shortly after," Shawn sighed at this point, "My whole family and I went on a holiday for a few months to Australia. We all loved it so much there my parents wanted to move there. My brother and I loved it there as well but New York was our home, Luke was my home. Sam was his home."

"Sam?", Shawn asks.

"Her name is Samantha, she's Luke's sister. Sam and my brother have been in love for as long as I remember. Long story short we went back to New York. Luke and I were always in contact and eventually I just got less and less calls. I was estatic to be back. I remember running over to his house and being so confused why he wasn't home, or his family. I ran back home after the lady in their house told me to. My parents gave me a letter," I choke, "He died of cancer whilst I was living my life in Australia. I was never there for him, I didn't even know. My heart was broken," I didn't even notice I was crying. Shawn pulled me into a hug patting my hair whispering sweet things in my ear, "I'm sure he loved you a lot." We spend a half hour just hugging each other, him letting me cry into his shoulder.

"Sorry, for crying all over you," I say shyly.

SHAWN POV

"No don't be sorry, Im happy I could be here for you," I say as I take her small hands into mine. I started rubbing small circles on her hands with my thumb feeling her hands warming me up instantly.

Cass looks up at me and gives me the most dazzling smile, I don't even think she know how beautiful she is.

"You really are a great guy Shawn," I hear her sweet voice say.

I unconsciously start leaning in, she does the same. I take one of my hands and gently put it on her cheek, putting my other hand on her waist bringing it closer.

Her eyes start to flutter close, mine does the same. I feel her hands in my shoulders. Within in a second her soft lips come in contact with mine. Our warn lips mould together perfectly. I start slowly moving my lips against hers, she soon does the same. This is by far the best kiss I've ever had.

I slide my tongue against her bottom lip asking for enterance, which she gives. Our tongues battle for dominance. Cass pulls away, we are so close our breaths are mixed together. "Wow," we say at the same time.

I smile as I place my forehead on her, I gently stroke her cheek before I whisper, "its getting late, we should sleep."

She nods and gets up getting into her blankets on her mattress. I really regret bringing to singles.

I quickly clean up our food. By the time I get into the tent Cass was already asleep.
