I move out the hug to look at them. Jess cries into Shawn's shoulder, "We heard everything, of course we forgive you Shawn."
Shawn look up from the hug and looks at me before lip speaking 'Thank you'. I nod and smile at them.
"We missed you man," Josh laughs before leaving the hug. Jess and Shawn break the hug before smiling widely.
I laugh at how cute they are.
"I am really sorry, all of you. I was an asshole," Shawn says looking at us. "Can you guys find it in your heart to be friends with me again?"
"Dude is that even a question?", Josh says, at the same time Jess squeals and screams "Yes of course!"
We all laugh at Jess' antics.
Shawn steps forward and extends his hand, "Nice to meet you Cassandra, this is my proper introduction."
I shake and laugh, "Nice to meet you too."
"Isnt this just a eventful first day, Cassandra?" Josh laughs before putting a arm around my shoulder.
"Yes it was", I sigh.
The bell rings indicating that it is the end of school.
"Ill see you guys tomorrow," Jess says before turning around.
"Wait," Shawn says, "Im throwing a party this Friday, I would really like it if you guys could come," Shawn smiles.
"Ill be there," Josh says. "Count me in," Jess smiles. They all turn to look at me as Josh lifts his eyebrow. "I can make it," I laugh.
"Great," Shawn laughs.
We all say goodbye as I walk to the front of the school where I will be waiting for Derek.
I see Derek's car drive by, I wave waiting for him to park in front of me.
I climb in the car and smile widely at Drake when I notice his blood stained eyes like he has been crying.
"Derek are you okay?", I ask worriedly.
Derek just drives home without even looking at me. I sigh and sink down in my seat.
As soon as we drive into our street Derek parks on the street. Derek puts his face and his hands and starts crying. "Derek, Derek listen to me. What is going on?", I ask tears threatening to fall.
Derek turns to me wrapping his arms around my shoulder as he sobs into my shoulder. I almost immediately wrap my arms around him rubbing his back.
I look at our house whilst I rub circles on his back. We live in a tiny two bedroom house with a attic at the top. It is a brick house with a small empty veranda in front. We really need to buy some furniture. Correction I need to, Derek sucks at furnishing.
Derek stopped crying after about 10 min. He breaks the hug and look at me.
"Shes gone."
