A New Chapter

"If you think I'm going to let you move to Japan all alone, you are mistaken."

Kagami turns around to face you. His red hair flicks in front of his eyes for a moment before the strands clear out of his vision and you are revealed. His mouth is hanging open in shock that you have actually turned up and you're standing right in front of him with your bags packed.

Two weeks ago your boyfriend of three years arrived at your doostep with two tickets to Japan. He knows you love the culture and the country and you speak the language fluently as you took it up as a regular subject. He begged you to move with him so he could persue his basketball career and still be with you... but you were hesitant. Both of your parents travel for work so you're always home alone so your boyfriend contacted your parents and asked if it was possible. The relationship Kagami has with your parents is wonderful, so they naturally said yes as long as it was what you wanted. But at the time, you didn't know what you wanted.

Kagami told you he would wait at the airport till the very last moment in hopes that you would go with him.

Now, here you are.

"You're here." Kagami says slowly as if he's still trying to process it himself.

"Of course, idiot. I can't believe you even doubted that I would show up." You grumble with your arms crossed as you glance to the side. You feel your cheeks quickly reddening. "I told you I love you years ago, didn't I? Why do you think I would stop?" You complain.

Kagami raises his hand to his chest and grabs a handful of his shirt. His heart ached as he waited for you to arrive at the airport. All the days leading up to his planned departure, not a single word from you, the pain, the stress, the terrifying thoughts. He wanted desperately to call you and ask if you had made your decision but he knew you needed space.

The ache in his chest disappeared when you shyly confessed your love for him once again.

You notice his eyes become watery and you quickly take a step to be closer to him.

"H-Hey, why are you crying?" You ask in a hurry.

"I..." He pauses and looks down at your worried expression. "I just love you." He says.

Your cheeks quickly go red and you take a step away from your boyfriend.

"I-I thought you changed your mind about bringing me with you, or something. You can't just start crying like that, I get worried-"

Kagami cuts you off by pressing his lips against yours. He holds your head in place with his large hand and the other sneaks around your waist.

"I want you with me, okay? Cut the crap about thinking I'm going to change my mind. I won't." He hugs you tighter.

"I can't wait to start a new chapter in my life with you." He kisses the top of your head and you're left smiling.

A/N:

early at the airport & jords said 'why dont you update, babe.' with his head on my shoulder fallin asleep. we were up vERY early this morning packing bc we were procrastinators till the last minute.
