"Go, Kagami!" You yell supportively as Kagami blocks Kise's three pointer by launching off the top of Kuroko's head. Those two are the perfect team and they haven't even known each other very long.

Kagami goes in for a fast break when Kise throws his arm back and collides his hand with poor Kuroko's face. Kuroko falls to the floor with a thud.

Your heart drops for a moment. He's so fragile.

Silence fills the air.

"Referee time out!"

"Tetsu!" You exclaim in shock.

He looks up and blood is streaming from the top of his head and his eye is shut.

"Are you okay, Kuroko!?" Hyuuga runs over to his teammate to check on him.

"I feel lightheaded." He monotonously says. Hyuuga holds the sides of Kuroko's face to get a better look.

"Get a first aid kit!" You shout to Riko. She nods and quickly runs off in the other direction. You hold your hand over your heart as you watch with worry.

"Are you okay?" Kagami asks Kuroko.

"I'm fine. The game is just getting start-" That was as far as Kuroko got in his sentence before he fainted and fell straight to the floor.

They bring Kuroko over to you and lie him on the bench. You check over his injuries before heading back to the boys.

"He can't play." You say dejectedly.

The doctor nods again as you ask him for the tenth time if Kuroko is okay.

"He's perfectly fine, don't worry." The doctor says reassuringly. You let out a sigh and hold your hand over your chest.

"Thank you."

The doctor nods in response. "Doctor, could you please come here for a moment!" The receptionist calls out from across the hall. The doctor walks out of the room with a polite 'excuse me'.

"I'm so glad you're okay, Tetsu." You break the silence.

"I'm sorry for worrying you." He comments.

You grab hold of his hand and squeeze gently. His blue eyes trail from your hands to your face and his heart skips a beat. The empty room is silent besides soft noises in the hallway. It feels like the only two people in the world are Kuroko and you, and you wouldn't have it any other way.

Kuroko's body leans forward slightly. Yours does too. The warm feeling of your hand on his makes him smile. He lifts his hand and rests his fingers in the nape of your neck and it sends goosebumps down your spine.

His pink lips are an inch away from yours.

*Ring Ring*

You jerk back in fright as your phone starts ringing. With a small blush you grab your phone out of your jean pocket and realise that Hyuuga is calling.

"Hold on," You say to Kuroko. He nods and gestures that it's fine. "Hyuuga? Yeah, Kuroko's perfectly fine. You guys will be here in five? Okay."

You hang up and turn around.

"We should go." He says as he stands up and walks to the door. You remain still.

Kuroko glances back at you. "Come on, Y/N."

You nod and follow behind him. The rest of the team are standing in front of the building waiting and they watch for you to give the signal.

You shoot a thumbs up and relief washes over them.

"Thank God." Riko says.

Your eyes land on the blue haired boy. His friends are tackling him and ruffling his hair. Kuroko catches you staring at him and forces eye contact. His eyes soften and his lip curls up into a smile.

Oh, shit. I think I'm in love with Tetsu.

You think.

A/N:

the maldives has been amaaaazing and i'm so so so sad to be leaving later today. it's the first time i've experienced a tropical vacation like this and it's safe to say if jords keeps taking me around the world... i might just keep him around. 😙😉

i am, however, excited to see cacia and kia. i miss my girls & i hope they miss me just as much!!!
