"Mitobe, this is Y/N. Y/N, this is Mitobe." Riko gestures to the tall, brawny boy in front of you. His black hair falls just past his eyes and he has a small smile.

Riko turns around to talk to the boy you set her up with. The two of you have been best friends since you were little girls. You got seperated when high school rolled around but you always managed to stayed in contact. Riko always spoke to you about Seirin High and how happy she is. You began to notice that she was always talking Mitobe up to you, saying he was such an amazing player and has such a kind heart. Eventually, she confessed to you that she always believed you and him would be perfect together. She set you two up on a date and as a thank you, you set her up with one of your classmates from school.

"Come on, you two. Hurry up. We need to secure a good spot in the roller coaster queue!" Riko exclaims as her and her date run towards the ride like children. Two peas in a pod.

Mitobe takes a step forward and ushers you to follow. With a small smile you nod and match his pace and walk alongside the tall boy.

The location is sunny and full of life. It's the perfect day to attend a fair.

Your nose twitches as a waft of delicious smelling food blows past you.

"Tuna donburi!" You suddenly exclaim and come to a halt. With a grin you run to the stand selling the delicious food. The stall keeper greets you with joy.

(A/N: if you don't like this dish, please pretend you do. it's mitobe's favourite so i wanted to use it in the story xo.)

You turn around and Mitobe is standing behind you, peering over your shoulder at the dishes with drool falling from the corner of his mouth.

You chuckle. "You like tuna donburi, too?" You ask with curiosity. He nods and pulls out his wallet to pay.

Mitobe holds up two fingers and the man nods his head immediately and grabs two paper plates to put the dish onto.

"No, wait, I don't think I can finish a whole plate. I had a big lunch." You comment. Mitobe turns to the man and holds up one finger instead.

Mitobe leans across and grabs two sets of chopsticks and looks at you for approval.

You nod in defeat and smile. "Thank you," You say, knowing you can't say no to his cute face any more times today. You've reached your limit.

He pays and grabs the food, walking with you to a bench nearby under the shade of a tree.

"Hey! Y/N! Mitobe! Are you two coming!?" You hear.

You glance across the fair at Riko and her date standing in line. You shake your head left and right. "Have fun!" You call out. She gives the thumbs up and grins childishly.

Mitobe guides you to sit beside him and you do so with no complains.

He immediately insists that you try it first.

As soon as the food gets past your lips your eyes light up and hearts fly all around you. "It's heaven." You admit.

Mitobe's eyes widen with excitement as he tries some too. He explodes with happiness and you giggle at his adorable facial expressions.

You notice a small grain of rice on his lip. You feel so comfortable and at home with Mitobe, it's as if you've known each other forever. Without even thinking you lift your hand and rest it on his cheekbone, using your thumb to swipe away the rice.

Mitobe looks at you in shock.

"Oh, shit. I'm so sorry! There was a grain of rice on your lip, I wasn't even thinking." You quickly exclaim and pull your hand away. He grabs your hand mid air and intertwines your fingers with his.

As if it were a natural reaction, both of you lean forward and kiss.

You felt electricity fly and fireworks erupt in the pit of your stomach. You've dated and kissed other people before but nothing seems to compare to the sensation you feel right now.

His mouth moves against yours and you can sense his emotions through the kiss. It's like he's talking to you.

He pulls away with a small smile.

"Damn," you murmur and Mitobe cracks a bigger grin.

damn, i have never been so tired after a workout 😴

i workout regularly... and usually i'm just chill but man, my body is telling me to SIT DOWN. 🤢
