"Y/N, we have to get going." Your boyfriend impatiently taps his foot on the ground as he waits for you.

"Look, Chihiro. A kitten." You point at the small feline in the cardboard box. He looks as though he's been left out in the rain and is clearly extremely exhausted.

"Come on." Mayuzumi says in an attempt to hurry you up.

"Can you bring him home, Chi?" You ask with puppy dog eyes. Mayuzumi quickly steps back. If you become any cuter he won't be able to say no to you. "I already have a cat at home, and I can't stand to know he'll be in the rain all night long." You plead.

"N-No. I can't." He responds.

You pout and tug at his school shirt from your crouched position beside the small kitten.

He looks between you and the kitty, both of you making sad faces at him.

"I said n-no."

"Y/N, help." Your boyfriend's stress voice says through the phone.

"What's wrong, Chihiro?" You ask and sit up in your bed in worry.

"The kitty... He won't eat any tuna."

You smile at the thought of your quiet and reserved boyfriend trying to feed the small cat.

"Don't just give it to him in the can. Break it up and put it on a plate... See if he has any then." You explain as your own cat curls up beside your leg.

Your boyfriend doesn't reply but you hear him put the phone down, rustle around and then pick it back up.

"Okay, he's having some now." He sighs in relief.

"Isn't he cute, Chihiro?" You purr softly into the phone.

"I suppose." He answers. You picture him sitting on his bed watching the animal lick the plate.

"I think... I'm going to keep him." He says to your surprise.

"Really? I'm glad."

"He reminds me of you." He shuffles around in his bed and you hear the rustling. You can easily imagine a blush tinting his pale cheeks.

"How come?" You ask.

"I mean, I guess... You're both... Really cute."
