Yuri's Point Of View

"Okay, we can do this in 3 different ways," Victor echoed through the phone as I leaned against my balcony and watched the sun go down.

"Oh god, here we go...."

In a desperate attempt to calm my nerves, I called Victor so he could figure out how this dinner should go.

Because Victor knew how to handle every thing, whether it was easy or difficult.

And instead of calming my nerves, it was just slowly increasing my anxiety.

Victor was capable of both of those things and he always swayed towards both.

Instead of either or.

"Okay, method #1.......

This ones gonna be pretty difficult but I think we can pull it off.

Alright, so basically we just completely hate each other.

Like, I'm talking bad vibes.

So, I could be all like, "yeah, your son sucks at skating, how is he this bad?"

And you can be all like, "yeah Victor? Well, you swallow!"

We can just channel our sexual frustration into pure frustration and then......"

How does he have the time to make this shit up?

And who uses the suck, swallow joke anymore?

Victor Nikiforov, apparently.

Ugh, this is not gonna go well.

"Victor, what the actual fuck?" I said as I turned around and leaned my back on the cold, metal railing.

"Fine, moving on. Method #2!

We could take a more direct approach at the situation if you prefer that.

So, we sit down and make small talk for awhile and halfway through, we start aggressively making out with each other and then.......

We can just run out of the restaurant and never come back.

Ever.

And we can live happily ever after and make love somewhere in the Dominican Republic!"

This just kept getting worse.

"We're not going to the Dominican Republic!"

"Paris, then? It's the city of love. That would really set the mood for us!"

"Victor!"

"I'm sorry, I'm getting off topic."

"Oh my god," I said as I impatiently brought my face into my hands and let out a deep sigh.

"On to method #3 then!"

I needed to brace myself for this one.

"Okay, this one is pretty extreme but if we're dedicated enough, we can pull it off!" Victor said in a peppy voice that made him sound like he was some kind of soccer coach.

As soon as I thought this, all I could picture was Victor standing on a field, wearing a typical coach outfit, encouraging little kids on the side of the field to win the game in a cute little huddle.
