Chapter 30

CHAPTER 30

It has been a few months since MAGCON officially ended.

Things are finally starting to go back to normal Cameron and I are more in love then ever and I finished school last week!

I still live with Cameron in our cute little home in Camden. Mum still lives just a couple blocks away, even though I don't really see mum much I love her so much so I decide to call her

'Hey mum how are you?!'

'Hey sweetie I'm okay how are you?' She says in a kind of sad tone of voice

'Im good what have you been up to lately, I feel like we haven't talked in ages!' I say

'Yeah I haven't been up to much how is Cameron?' She asks

'Yeah he is good. Mum what's wrong?' I say because I'm actually really concerned why she is so upset

'Nothing sweetie don't worry about me' she says

'No mum tell me I'm going to be stressing if you don't tell me' I say getting nervous

'Well baby, I have been feeling a little sick lately so I went to the doctors and they told me some bad news. I was going to ring you today and tell you so I guess it's kind of fate that you rang me.' She explains

'What is it mum tell me I'm really scared' I ask worrying

'The doctor told me yesterday that I have cancer and they aren't really sure how much longer I have left' she says

I stay quiet. My mum is the only person I have in my life besides Cameron I can't loose her not now.

'What, I'm coming to see you right now' I say quietly.

I hang up the phone and walk to my mums right away I don't even tell Cameron I'm going as he is out the back working in the backyard.

On the walk to my mums house I just burst out in tears I can't loose my mum I really can't loose her she is the only family I have I need her she is my best friend.

When I get to my mums house and she answers the door I just hug her straight away and she hugs me back.

She sits me down and tells me that the cancer is in her blood and it is spreading fast so she won't have long. She is going to the doctors tomorrow so she can get more information on how long she has. I ask her if I can go with her and she says yes after sitting with her and talking about everything going on in our lives I call Cam and get him to come and pick me up.

As soon as I get in the car Cam can tell something is wrong and he asks immediately.

'Cam my mum has cancer'

'Oh my goodness baby, she will get through it I know she will'

'No she won't Cameron, it's in her blood they can't cure that' I say as I burst out in tears

Cameron just hugs me and holds me in his arms. This is where I feel safe which is what I need right now.
