Chapter 5

jack's pov

We started to walking back to the house. I didn't want to go back because all Jade and Zane were going to talk about was school. I wanted to tell Jade how I felt about the whole thing, But I just kept my mouth shut because I didn't want to hurt her. Jade and I finally got back to the house, But when we got there we wished we didn't come back. Britney, Rachel, Kate, and a couple of jocks from school were standing on my porch. A part of me wanted to take Jade and run and the other part wanted to fight them. Both of my options would protect Jade, So I decided to go with both. I told Jade to run as far away as possible from here, and I told here that I will fight them off. At first she told me that she wasn't going unless I came with her. So now I had to give up my second option and run with her. 

We started running away from the house when I suddenly got a call from my brother. I stopped running so that I could answer the phone. "Hello?" I said. "Jack you got to get to the house now, some people from school are at the porch, and their threating us to give Zane and Kim to them" My brother said sounding out of breath. "Alright hide Kim and Zane and keep everyone else safe, I'll be there soon" I said hanging up the phone. "Jade we have to go back" I said. "We can't go back, those guys will kill us" She said. "My brother, My mom, Zane, and Kim are all in danger right now we have to go back and save them" I said. "Well if that's the reason, Then go, I won't be coming with you though" She said walking away. "Yes you are" I said picking her up and throwing her over my shoulder. "PUT ME DOWN" She yelled and started pushing me in the back. "No your coming with me weather you like it or not" I said walking to the house. "I hate you" She said. "I hate you too Jade" I said. "Actually no I don't" I mumbled. "What was that?" She asked. "Nothing" I said blushing.

We got back to the house and everyone was still on the porch. Except now they were banging on the door and yelling. I put Jade down on the ground and looked at her. She looked as red as a tomato. I started to laugh at her face and she punched me hard in the arm really hard. "owww" I said rubbing my arm. "That's what you get for bringing me here, Your lucky I don't punch you and second time for laughing at me" She said. "Ok I'm sorry" I said rolling my eyes. "You are not forgiven" She said smiling. We walked up to everyone and taped Britney on the shoulder. 

She turned around and looked at me and Jade. "Um can I help you?" She asked. "Yeah I was wondering where the exit to your life is?" I said punching her in the face before she could say anything. Everyone started looking at us and attaching us, But with me and Jade together we were undefeated. We were able to knock everyone out and get inside the house. We only had a short amount of time before they woke up, so we had to hurry. Jade carried Kim out the door and everyone else followed her. We walked to her house and got inside, it's a good think her parents weren't home, or they would flip. We locked all the doors and windows downstairs, then walked upstairs to Jade's room. Once we got inside her bedroom door, we locked the door and sat down on her bed. Jade called her dad and told I'm what happened, he said that he will be home in a little bit. 

(2 hours later)

It was now 12:35am and Jade's dad still hasn't come home. Jade was starting to panic and everyone else was trying to calm down. "What if he doesn't come back? W-what if something happened to him? What if we called my mom and she went crazy?" Jade said in a panic. "Jade calm down, You don't see anyone else here panicking do you?" I said to her. "How can you say that to me when you didn't even care to go back and get Kim and Zane" She said. "I WAS TRYING TO PROTECT YOU!"  I yelled at her. I honestly didn't mean to yell, but I was so mad it just happened. "Wow that wouldn't be the first time you used that excuse" She said as she stormed into the bathroom and slammed the door. I put my head in my hands and thought about what I just did.

Jade's pov

I locked myself in the bathroom and sat on the floor. My back was against the door and my knees were pulled up to my chest. All I did was sit there and cry my eyes out. Jack never acted this way, Why is he doing this now? Did I do something? With all of these things happening, all of these thoughts are just making me feel overwhelmed. I heard a knock on the door and I immediately stopped crying. "Jade can I come in" Jack said through the door. I got up from the floor and slowly opened the door. I looked at him with tears still rolling down my cheeks. "Jade I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you, It's just...." He stopped and looked down. "It's just what" I asked. "It's just.....I love you" He mumbled the last part. "Could you say that again I didn't hear you" I said. He slowly raised his head and looked at me. "Jade, I love you" He said blushing. I quickly gave him a hug and started crying tears of happiness. "Jack I love you too" I said with excitement.

Everyone in the room started to clap and cry as well. I'm guessing everyone was waiting for this moment to happen. And to be honest with you so was I. I knew all along that Jack had something to hide, I just didn't know it was this. This moment right here just about made my day. Well that was until someone started pounding on my bedroom door. Jack and I broke are hug but still stayed next to each other. 

"Ok here's the plan, Jade go take the others and hide them somewhere safe, I'll open the door and see who it is." Jack said as everyone started moving.  I took everyone into my closet and hid them in the small attic. By the time I came out of the closet Jack's hand was on the door knob. "Jack wait for me, I'm not letting you do this alone" I said before he opened the door. "Jade I don't want you to get hurt" He said looking at me. "Jack haven't you learned, I'm a tuff chic I'll be fine" I said giggling. He didn't say anything and slowly opened the door.

And I couldn't believe who it was....
