Chapter 3

Previously in high school

Jades pov

As I was about to go up to Britney and Rachel, But Someone grabbed by my wrist. They spun me aound and punched me hard in the face. I couldn't see who punched me. I just fell to the floor. I heard someone scream my name as my eyes closed.

Jacks pov

As I waited in the nurces office, I started to get worried about Jade. I was wondering why Jade hasn't come back with Kim. I decided to go out of the nurces office and look for them. I walked out of the office and saw a bunch of people surrounding around something. I pushed through people to see what everyone was looking at. Once I got to the frount I saw Jade getting punched by a jock. "JADE!!!!!" I screamed as she fell to the floor. I fell to the floor and held her in my arms. I started to cry. "Jade please wake up" I said sobbing. There was no response. Everyone around me started laughing. "It's not funny, Stop laughing" I said but they didn't listen. I decided to pull out my phone and call her dad to come pick as up. He told me to grab Jade's stuff and come meet him in the parking lot.

I grabbed her bag and swung it over my shoulder. I picked her up bridle style and carry her to the parking lot. I sat down at a bench and waited for her dad. Jade still wasn't woken up. I started to sing a song that me and her loved. As I was singing her dad drove up in frount of us. He got out of his car and walked up to me. "Let's go" He said as I stood up. Her dad opened up the back door for me. I sat down in the back seat and held Jade tighly in my arms. "A-are you going t-to take me b-back to my h-house" I said stuttering. "Yeah, is that ok with you" He asked. "O-of course" I say stuttering again.

We arrived at the house and got out of the car. Jade's dad helped me with getting Jade's stuff. The both of us walked up to the door and I knocked. We waited for a little until my brother opened the door. "Hey how's it going, um the kids are back early because something happened at school, is it ok if I leave them with you" Jade's dad asked. "Of course i'll make sure to keep an eye on them til our mom gets home" My brother said. "Thank you so much" Jade's dad said as he gave my brother Jade's backpack. "Hey it's no problem" My brother said as Jade's dad walked back to his car.

I walked inside the house and walked to my room. I layed Jade down in my bed and kissed her on the forhead. I walked out of the room and walked into the living room. I sat down on the couch and put my head in my hands. "Hey little bro, you alright" My brother said while sitting down next to me. "I'm worried about her Jake, She means everything to me, and to see her like this just breaks my heart" I said as my brother gave me a hug. "It's going to be ok, She's going to be ok" My brother said while pulling away. "I hope so" I say while turning on the TV.

I turned the channel to cartoons and watched them with my brother. Me and my brother might be over the age of 10, But no ones ever to old to watch cartoons. I mean even my mom is 43 years old and she still watches cartoons. Me and my brother watched cartoons for hours until mom came home.

When my mom walked through the door, she looked at us and laughed. "Let me guess you skipped school again" My mom asked as I looked at her. "No actually, something bad happened to Jade and we had to come home" I said as she gave me face of worry. "What happened to her?" My mom asked as she set her purse on the table. "Well let's just say that some jerk decided to knock Jade out" I said as she started to get more worried. "Who drove you here?" My mom asked. " Her dad did, I called him after what happened" I said with full honesty. "Where is she?" My mom asked. "She's in my room sleeping" I said as she sighed in relief. "Well i'm going to go take a nap, you guys keep it down out here, alright" My said walking to her room. "alright" I said while going back to watching cartoons.

Jade's pov

I woke and looked around. It looked like i was in Jack's room. "How did I get here?" I asked myself. "Last I remember I was at school pssed out on the floor" I say to myself. I decide to get up and go see what's going on. I walked out of the room and started looking for Jack. I didn't take me long until I saw him sitting on the couch with his brother. They were waching cartoons together and drinking pepsi. I smiled and went to go sit on the couch. They looked at me and smiled as well. Jack's brother got up and grabbed a pepsi from the frige. Jack sat down next to me and his brother handed me the pepsi. "Thanks" I said while opening it. "Your welcome" His brother said while siting back down.

I took a sip of my pepsi and watched cartoons with them. We didn't talk about school or anything, we just had little conversations. It seemed like Jack was happy that I was awake, But apart of me thinks that he's not being himself. "So how did I get here?" I asked Jack. He seemed like he didn't want to talk about it so I didn't push him to. Hopefully I found out what's going on soon.
