Chapter 25

Friday

Jade's pov

"Come on Jack were going to be late for school" I said and continued walking. "Since when do you care about being late for school" He said as I kept walking almost running. "I just want to get to school ok" I said as he shrugged his shoulders

We got to school and Jack opened the door for me. I walked in and jocks were throwing paper airplanes around. Girls were gossiping. Just a normal day again. I got distracted and a paper airplne hit me in the eye. "Ow" I said and held my hand over my eye.

"Omg I'm so sorry about that jade" Brenden said. "It's ok" I said and gave him a little smile. "Are you sure? Do you want me to take you to the nurse?" He asked. "I'm pretty sure I can do that Brenden" Jack said a little irritated. "Ok" Brenden said and walked off.

Jack took me to the nurses office to get my eye checked out. They said that everything will be fine and that nothing is wrong. Before the bell rang I went over to Brenden's locker. "Hey Jade what did the nurse say" He said. "She said that everything will be fine" I said while giving a happy smile. "Good good. Is there something that you wanted you talk about?" He asked.

"Yeah actually meet me after school at the park" I said as the bell rang. "Ok but what about Jack" He said. "Don't worry I can take care of him" I said and walked off.

~Time skip~ After school

Brenden's pov

When I got out of my classroom I went to my locker. I was so nervous as to what Jade wanted to talk about. I grabbed my things out of my locker and walked outside.

"Hey Brenden you coming with us basketball court" Tyler said. "Nah I got some stuff to take care of maybe tomorrow" I said. "Alright" He said and drove off.

I walked to the park and sat down on the grass. I saw Jade talking to Jack across the street. When Jack walked away Jade started walking towards me.

"Hey you actually came" She said and sat down.

"Well duh I wouldn't want to be the guy that blows someone off" I said laughing a little. "So what did you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Why is everyone being so nice to everyone? I mean not to be rude or anything, but everyone in school is acting different" She said as I froze.

"Well everyone is acting so nice because ever since that big speech you gave at school not to long ago. It really changed peoples attitude and it really hit us hard. Your speech made us realize that we can't make fun of other people just beacuse their different then the rest of us" I said as she looked up at me. There was tears streaming down her face.

Jade's pov

As soon as he finished talking I started crying. I looked up at him and he froze. I stood up and grabbed my bag. "Hey where are you going?" He asked. I didn't look at him and said "Home" In a weak voice.

I started walking home very slowly not wanting to face Jack or my dad. I just couldn't stop crying. I reached my house and opened the door.

Jack and my dad of course noticed me. I ran upstairs before they can say anything. I locked my bedroom door and laid on my bed.

Jack started knocking on the door. "Jade please open the door" His voice sounded weak. Was he crying? I slowly walked to the door and stopped. I tried calming down a bit before opening the door.

I turned the knob and opened the door a crack. Jack looked up at me and tears filled his eyes. More tears fell as I looked him in the eyes. "C-can I come in" He said his voice cracking. I opened the door all the way and let him in.

He sat down on my bed and completely broke down. I sat next to him and huggged him tightly. Seeing him crying made me cry even more. I didn't mean to hurt him.

We sat there holding each other in each others arms. Until my phone started ringing. I broke the hug and looked at it. It was an unknown number. Jack took my phone and answered it.

"Who is this?" Jack asked

"Oh really. Well it's going to take a lot more than an apologie to make her feel better" He said

"She what!?" He said while looking at me.

"You know what Brenden you can just fuck off. Jade is mine and you will never have her. If you ever think about calling her or talking to her or even looking at her again. You better think twice" He said and hung up.

"Jack" I said very weakly. He didn't say anything and just handed my phone to me. I looked at him and he looked at me. I started tickling him like crazy as he laughed.

"Jade......please......stop" He said still laughing. I stopped and he rolled on the floor. "Did you really have to do that?" he said out of breathe. "Anything to make you happy" I said and smiled.
