Chapter 21

Tuesday

Jack's pov

"Jack you awake" Jade's dad asked as I opened my eyes. "I am now. What's up" I said. "Well Jade is still not feeling well so your going to have to stay here again. I already talked to the school and they said to come back when she's feeling better" He said as I looked down. "Did you talk to my mom yet?" I asked. "I didn't talk to her yet, But I think it's best to just leave her alone for now" He said as I nodded my head. "And whatever happened between you and Jade. Forget about it. Jade's just going through a really tough time right now. I hope you understand that" He said. "Yeah I understand completely. I went through a really tough time as well when my dad passed away. And I was really not myself during that time" I said while looking down. "Oh shit I'm going to be late for work I gotta go" He said while running out the door.

I stood up for a few minutes trying to wrap my head around everything. Like I already now what happened, but what I couldn't figure out is why was Jade acting this way? I can't talk to her because she really hates me right now. I can't hold her in my arms because she will punch me. What am I going to do? I know this is not the Jade I grew up with. And I know there's something else bothering her.

I knew what I had to do now. I called Zane and hoped that he would pick up. "Hello?" Zane said. "Zane I need your help. Me and Jade got into a fight yesterday and she won't talk to me" I said. "Why would I help you?" Zane asked. "Come on Zane your my only hope" I said. "Alright fine. I'll be there in a minute" He said while hanging up.

I turned on tv and waited for Zane to arrive. When I heard a knock on the door I got up and opened it. "Where is she?" Zane asked while walking in. "She's in her room" I said as he started walking upstairs.

Zane's pov

I walked upstairs to Jade's room and knocked on her door. It took a few minutes before she opened the door. "Zane what are you doing here?" Jade asked as I looked down. "Jack told me that you guys got into a fight yesterday. Is there something going on between you two?" I asked while looking up. She pulled me into her room and shut the door. "This stays between you and me" She said as we sat down on her bed.

"So you know about my notebook right" She said as I nodded my head. "Well Jack read it without my permission and it really pissed me off" Jade said. "Why did it piss you off so much?" I asked. "Because there was a whole bunch of stuff in there that was supposed to be a secret" Jade said while looking down.

"Is there any other reason why your so upset with him?" I asked as she looked up at me. "Yeah" She said and took a deep breathe. "Me and Jack have been getting into a lot of fights lately and the only question I'm asking myself is. why?" Jade said as I held her hand. "Why don't you tell him that?" I asked. "I was thinking of telling him, but I'm scared that we might get into another fight" Jade said as she started to cry.

"Jade please don't cry. Look if your not ready to tell him then you don't have to" I said as she hugged me tightly. "Thank you for understanding" Jade said while breaking the hug. "Is that everything?" I asked assuming there was something else bothering her. "Nope that's it" She said as I walked out the door.
