Chapter 22

Wednesday

Jade's pov

I was already feeling better, but I didn't want to go to school. I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes. "Jade may I come in" My dad said through the door. "Yeah" I said as he opened the door. "How are feeling any better? Do you think you can go to school today?" He asked. "Yeah I'm feeling better but I don't want to go to school" I said as he sat down beside me. "Why don't you want to go to school?" He asked as Jack walked in. I looked at him and so did my dad.

"Um I was just going to grab my backpack" He said as I handed him his backpack. "Are you going home?" I asked as he nodded his head. I looked at my dad assuming he had something to do with this. "I saw how mad you were with him. So I told him that he needs to go back home" My dad said as Jack started walking downstairs.

I grabbed his wrist halfway down the stairs. "Jack I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten upset. I know that you were just curious, but next time please double check with me first" I said as he kissed me. "Do you want me to leave?" He asked. "No, I don't want you get beaten up again by your mom. It broke my heart seeing you like that" I said as he put his backpack down. "Ok then I'm not leaving" He said as I hugged him tightly.

"So are you planning on going to school today?" Jack asked. "Nah I'll go tomorrow" I said as we went back upstairs to my room. "Is there a reason why you don't want to go to school today" He said as I turned on the TV. "I don't want to del with the drama" I said as we started watching cartoons.

(20 minutes later)

My dad came in my room with two bowls of vanilla ice cream. "Thanks dad" I said as he walked out. "Staying at your house is so much better" Jack said while taking a bite of the ice cream. "Relax he's only doing this because he feels bad for us" I said while taking a bite of my ice cream.

For the rest of the day we didn't come out of my room. I texted my dad to bring us drinks and food. We had no purpose of leaving the room. Well that's what thought until I got a call from Kim. "I thought today was my day off" I said. "It's happening again" She said sounding out of breathe. "What's happening again?" I asked while getting up. "Zane and Lily are getting bullied again" She said as the phone cut out.

"Fuck we gotta go to the school right now" I said while putting on my jacket. "Why what's happening" Jack asked while putting on a shirt and a jacket. "It's Lily and Zane" I said while running out the door. "Dad I'm going to the school be back soon" I yelled before running out the front door with Jack running behind me.

When we got to the school there were police blocking the front doors. I walked around the school and went through the back. When we got in there, there was a big circle of people blocking the hallways. I stood at the end of the hallway and screamed. Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at me. I walked through the crowd of people and saw Lily, Kim, and Zane lying on the ground in pain.

"Is this what needs to happen in this school. Do people really need to do this to people that didn't harm anyone? These are innocent people that did nothing but defend themselves. Why are people hurting others and putting them in pain? Is it for popularity? Is it for views? What is the point of this?" I shouted as everyone looked down. "Oh so no one knows why people hurt others" I said and looked at Brenden. "Brenden a couple days ago you were beating up Zane. Do you remember what I told you" I said as he nodded. "Well first you asked me why I was beating up Zane. And I said because Brittney told me to. And then you said that Brittney is brain washing me and making me do things that I don't want to do" He said as I nodded.

"Do you guys really think people do this by choice? Well that's not true people do this by Brittney's choice. Come on guys we have our own choice to just say no" I said as everyone started clapping. Me and Jack helped everyone of the floor and walked outside. "So are we going bring them to your house so that they can clean themselves up?" Jack asked as I shook my head no. "We'll just wait til they wake up and then take them to my house" I said.

(10 minutes later)

10 minutes later and were still at the school. Zane's eyes opened and he got up slowly. "What happened?" He asked. "You got your ass kicked" I said as Jack laughed. "Don't laugh at me. There was too many people coming at us all at once" Zane said as Kim and Lily woke up. "I hate this school" Lily said while getting up. "Yeah we hate it too" Kim said. "Hey look at the bright side. All of that stuff is over and we get to go home" I said as they all smiled.

We walked back to my house and cleaned up. After everyone was cleaned we all sat downstairs and watched TV. My dad came home shortly and I told him what happened. He called their parents and told them that they were ok. I grabbed some chips and salsa out of the cabinet. I set them on the coffee table and everyone digged in.

Well I could definitely say that today was rough. I mean of course it was rough for Kim, Zane, and Lily. But it was rough for me too. Standing in front of people and giving a big speech is something that I've never done before. At first it was kinda scary because I didn't know what I was going to say. But I just said what was on my mind and everything worked out. Hopefully all of this comes to an end and the bulling stops.
