Chapter 7

Jack's pov

I woke up and saw nurse Jackie in the room checking on Jade. "Oh good morning Jack" She said sweetly. "Morning" I said yawning. "Your brother stopped by and dropped off a bag for you. But since you were sleeping I just put it by your chair" She said as I noticed the bag. "Thank you" I said. "Your welcome" She said while writing down something on a clipboard. "How's Jade doing?" I asked. "Well still no recovery but her heart's still beating" She said. I laughed a little bit and so did she. When she finished with Jade she set the clipboard on a small desk and looked at me. " I'm going out to breakfast in a few minutes would you like to join me?" She asked me smiling. "Who's going to watch over Jade?" I asked. "A nurse will come by and check on her while were out" She said. "Well if that's the case then sure I'll go" I said. "Ok well I have to go home and change real quick, will you be ok here by yourself?" She asked. I just nodded my head in response. "Ok I'll be right back you can change in the bathroom if you want" She said as she walked out of the door.

I picked up my bag and set it on the chair and opened it. I picked out an outfit and went into the bathroom. I locked the door and started getting ready. The outfit that I picked out was a My chemical romance shirt, twenty one piolets hoddie, black jeans, and my normal black and white converse. I combed my hair and put my gauges. I stepped out of the bathroom and I saw Jackie leaning against the wall. She was wearing a overwatch hoddie, black ripped jeans, jack skeleton gauges, and a black and white checkered belt. "Ready to go" She said. "Are you emo??" I asked. "Maybe" She said in response. I smiled as we both walked out of the hospital.    

(After breakfast)

We started heading back to the hospital. It was about 12:52 when we returned. Jackie said that she was going to go and change back into her other cloths. I just told her that I'll watch over Jade until she comes back. She said ok and left the room. Well now I was all alone with Jade, she still hasn't woken up. I started to text Kim and see what she was up to. 

Text

Jack: Hey Kim

Kim: Hey Jack

Jack: hru

Kim: I'm tired

Jack: Why?

Kim: Because Zane kept me up all night with his music blasting throughout the house

Jack: Yeah he does that a lot. Believe me if your going to spend the night at Zane's house your not sleeping til he is

Kim: Yeah that information could've been helpful last night

Jack: Hey I gotta go hopefully Jade turns out fine today and we get to go home

Kim: Yeah, I hope so too

I turned of my phone as soon as Jackie walked in. "So anything happen while I was gone?" She asked. "Nope" I said looking at Jade. "I just want to go home" I added. "Well you can go home, You don't have to be here" She said. "I want to go home with Jade, I'm not leaving here until she wakes up" I said. "Ok if that's what you want" She said shrugging her shoulders. "I'm bored" I said. "Wanna go to the field that's down the street?" Jackie asked. "Wait so you can come and go whenever you want" I said while getting up. "I'm only a volunteered nurse, So to answer your question, Yes I can leave and come back whenever I want" She said while grabbing her bag. "Hey you have the same bag as Jade" I said looking at the bag. "Really, She must shop at hot topic then" She said. "Yeah she does but she didn't buy it" I said. "Did you?" She asked curiously. "No she stole it" I said frowning. "So she's a criminal" She said crossing her arms. "NO SHE'S NOT, WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THAT!" I shouted. "Wow Jack calm down, I'm sorry" She said. I didn't say anything back and just walked over to Jade. "Jade has the roughest time at school because every corner she turns there's another bully waiting to pick on her" I said looking down at Jade. "And I try my best to keep her out of trouble or keep her from getting hurt" I said as a tear rolled down my cheek. "Hey kid I'm really sor-" "Just please give me some space" I said before she finished her sentence. "Ok I'll be right outside this door" She said and walked out. 

Once she left I cried harder and held Jade's hand. "Jade p-please wake up please" I said as the tears continued to roll down my face.

Memory  

I was in Jade's room working on a assignment. Jade was supposed to be working on the assignment with me but she was still  in the bathroom. "JADE HURRY UP!"  I yelled. I got no response. That's when I started to get worried . I got up and walked over to the bathroom door. I started to pound on the door "Come on Jade you've been in the bathroom for hours"  I said . But I still  I  got no response. The door was unlocked so I opened the door and saw Jade lying on the floor with cuts on her arm. "JADE!!!"  I screamed. I quickly grabbed a rag  and put around her arm to stop the bleeding. She stopped bleeding and  started to open her eyes. "Jade what the hell were you thinking!" I shouted. "Jack you saw what those bullies did to me today, I'm sick and tired of getting bullied  every fucking day!" She shouted . "What about our promise, We promised that we won't die on each other" I said as she started crying. "Jade come here" I said as she hugged me and cried into my shoulder.

End of memory 

That day is something that keeps running through my head. I wish I could've saved her from taking those pills. She would've died if I wasn't there that day. And her parents would've done nothing because they didn't care about her. They don't care about her like I do.
