Jack's pov

My eyes opened a little bit only to be greeted by a bright light. I put my arm over my eyes to block out the light. "Wake up little brother" My brother said as I moved my arm. "What time is it?" I asked yawning. "It's 10:39 in the morning. how late did you stay up last night?" he asked. "I don't know I didn't check the time" I said rolling my eyes. "Well get up and get dressed. Mom wants you to come home and talk for a little bit" He said as I shook my head no. "What do you mean no?" He asked. "I'm not leaving this hospital until Jade comes home with me. If mom wants to talk to me she can come here to talk" I said crossing my arms. "Come on Jack don't be so stubborn" He said. "I'm not leaving Jason" I said frowning. "She either comes here to talk or she doesn't talk to me at all" I added as he looked down. "Fine I'll go bring her here" He said while walking out of the room.

I stood up out of my chair and looked at Jade's heart monitor. Her heart was still beating at a steady rate. I sighed and looked down at my feet then I whispered "Please be ok Jade. I love you." I decided I should get dressed since my mom was going to be her any moment now. I started looking through the back for an outfit. I found a My chemical romance T-shirt, Black jeans, and my black and white convers. I went into the bathroom and changed. By the time I finished changing and out of the bathroom my mom was here.

I stepped out of the bathroom doorway and put my other cloths in my bag. "Jack" My mom said. I didn't reply. I mean I know she's my mom and all but I'm still mad at here for not helping Jade. "Jack we need to talk about the night Jade's mom attached Jade" Mom said. "Yeah let me sum up what happened. While Jade's mom was attaching Jade. You just stood there and watched while her dad was trying to stop her mom" I said with anger. "Jack listen-" "No mom you listen to me. If you just helped Jade's dad stop her mom. She wouldn't be here right now" I said cutting her off. She stood there staring at me speechless. My brother came up to me and pushed me to the ground. "Don't you ever talk to mom like that again" He said in a harsh tone.

I slowly got up off the ground and faced my brother. "You know I thought you were my brother. But your just like all those other bullies. Your like the bullies that like to push us around" I said looking him in the eye. "So why don't you take a hike all the way back to the house with mom" I said with pure anger in my eyes. He turned around and walked out of the room with mom. I sat back down in my chair and tilted my head back. "Why did this have to happen?" I asked as I stared up at the ceiling. Just then I heard a loud beep coming from one of Jade's monitors. I quickly jumped out of my chair and looked at the monitors. Nurse Jackie and Dr. Kyle came rushing in with a bunch of other people. "What's going on? What's happening?" I asked Dr. Kyle. "Jack I'm gonna have to ask you to leave the room" He said. "What, no I'm not leaving until I get answers" I said with pure anger. "Jackie get him out of here" He said as Jackie grabbed my arm. I tried to escape her grip as she tried to take me out of the room. "NO!" I yelled escaping from Jackie's grip. More people started grabbing me and pushing me through the door.

Once I was outside the door the shut it and locked it. I started to pound on the door and yelling, but they just ignored me. I stopped and leaned against a wall. I slid down the wall and hugged my knees up to my chest. I started to cry softly and tried not to make to much noise. I just wanted things to go back to normal. I wanted to hold Jade in my arms and cuddle with her again. I wanted to go back to the day we made that promise to not die on each other. Then I it occurred to me that if it was the heart monitor that was beeping. NO I can't think like that, I have to stay positive and hope that she's going to be ok.

The Doctor came out of the room and looked at me. I quickly stood up to my feet and looked at him. There was a moment of silence until I asked "What happened to Jade?" "She's going to be ok. I don't know how but her heart stopped for a little bit" He said as I tried to hold back the tears. "Do you know what kind of pills she took?" I asked the doctor. "Yes, She took about 13 pain killers all at once. There a common pill that most people take to remove pain. But some people use to commit suicide." He said looking at me. "Is she going to be ok?" I asked. "Yes she's going to be ok. You can go inside and see her" I said as my face lit up. "Wait are you saying she's awake" I said trying to hide my happiness. He nodded his head as I busted through the door.

I saw here in the hospital bed sitting up on the side of the bed. "Jade" I said as she slowly looked at me. She smiled as I ran up to her and hugged her. She hugged back and started crying. "Jade why are you crying?" I asked as she buried her head in her hands. "I'm so sorry" She said crying. "Why did you do it? Don't you remember out promise?" I asked her. "I just couldn't handle life anymore. I came home everyday and cried in my room for hours. Then I went to school and got bullied. And yes I do remember our promise, but you don't understand--" "Actually I do understand. You don't think the same thing happens to me. I come home crying too, but it wasn't because of the bullying. It was because I hated seeing you get hurt" I said cutting her off. "Jade that night when I told you that I loved you. I felt like I just made all that bullying go away. All of that crying, depression, sadness, everything. I thought I made it all go away" I said looking into her eyes. "I love you so much Jade. And I've been waiting forever at the hospital. Just waiting for you to wake up" I said as she smiled. "I love you too Jack. I wanna go home" She said while whipping away her tears. "Ok let's go home" I said as we walked out of the room and to the entrance.

I let her wear one of my shirts and a pair of jeans since she hade nothing to where. Once we got outside of the hospital I called Jade's dad to see if he will pick us up. He said sure and that he'll be here in a little bit. So me and Jade sat down on the ground and talked until here dad came. Her dad pulled up by the curp and told us to hurry. I got up off the ground and then helped Jade stand. "I hope I didn't bother you" I said as we got into the car. "No your fine I was just at hoe watching TV" He said driving us back home. The car ride home was silent. All you can hear In the car was the radio and that's it. Me and Jade held hands the all the way until we pulled up to my house. "Thank you for picking us up" I said as me and Jade got of the car. He didn't say anything and just drove off. I took out my house key and unlocked the door. When we walked inside the house all the lights were off. So we tried not to make to much noise as we walked to my room. Once we reached my room I opened the door and let Jade walk in. When she walked in she immediately flopped onto my bed. I shut the door and took off my shoes. "It feels great to be out of that hospital bed and back into this one" She said smiling. I shook my head and smiled. I crawled into bed ad laid next to her. She wrapped her arms around me and cuddled close to me. I held her in my arms and never let her go. "You should get some sleep" I told her. She nodded and started drifting off to sleep. I kissed her on the forehead and said "I love you."
