"Beautiful Monday morning, Beacon Hills High School is back open after being closed Thursday and Friday. Police search continues for alleged killer Derek Hale," The radio abruptly stopped as I covered my face with the covers. Yeah, school decided to close Thursday and Friday but it's on for today. Yay.

"We should probably set this to buzzer." My mom's voice filled the room as I relaxed back into the covers. "You alive in there?" She said, shaking me under the cover.

"No." I groaned.

"Not ready to go back to school?" She asked, rubbing my side through the covers.

"No."

"You want to stay home another day?"

"No."

"Want a brand new car?" She asked. I pulled my covers over my head and gave her look. "Me, too. Also, your cars fixed, but this isn't about what happened at the school, right? Do you want to talk about it?" She asked, rubbing her hand on my shoulder is gesture of reassurance.

"Kinda." I mumbled.

"Well, talk." She said, sitting beside me.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes, "How do I put this, so one of my friends through my boyfriend under the bus and now he's in trouble with a few people. Even though it wasn't his fault." I explained, my anger getting the best of me.

"Boyfriend. Hal, you have a boyfriend and I didn't know?" She said, holding her hand over her heart as if she was heart broken. "But if that person did not do it, you need to find the evidence where he didn't do it. Show your friends that he really didn't do it." She said, calming down.

"Will do, thanks mom. Also, you will meet him soon, just not now?" I said, shrugging my shoulders. She gave a small laugh before standing up and giving me a kiss on the head.

"Well, get up, get dressed, and go to school. I'm gonna go talk to you brother now. Gotta get him out of the hole. Love you, Hal." She said before walking out and closing my door.

I sprung up out of the bed and got ready for what felt like a normal day at school, but it was probably gonna be the complete opposite.

After taking a shower, I got dressed into a pair of black skinny jeans that hugged my figure along with a white tank top. After rolling on some deodorant, I slipped on my leather jacket. I pulled my damp hair out of my jacket before walking to my closet and stepping into a pair of white Timberlands.

I slung my backpack over my shoulder and grabbed my phone just as it dinged with a message.

'I know this might be a little rude, but can you come pick me up?- Erica'

'Of course I can. Send me your address and I'll be there in five.- Hallie'

After getting Erica's address, I grabbed my car keys and walked out of my room. "Scott, you got ten minutes before you have to leave." I called, opening his bedroom door. Scott's shirt was just being pulled over his head as he rushed around his room.

"Scott," Ignored. "Scott." I groaned. "Scottie, calm down." I assured him, stopping him in his pacing. "It'll get better. You need to show her that she made a mistake. I mean you're a great guy, you're amazing, adorable, and funny. She made a mistake of dumping you. Now go get your girl back." I said, pushing him his shoes and backpack.

I walked out after waving bye, continuing my way down the stairs and out the door to pick up Erica.

"Wait, so you were at the school when the whole incident went down?" Erica asked, totally not believing me.

"Yes, and like I said before, it was a rush and I barely remember half of it. But the incident explains the bandages on my shoulder and chest." I said, gesturing to the gauze around my arm. I mean there's no point for it to be there, but when I told mom I was fine, she said I needed to keep it on. She still hasn't seen me without them on though, so.
