It's been a few days since the night of Derek and I's rescue, the night Peter mauled Lydia, the night we defeated the Alpha, the night Derek became alpha, the night everyone drew closer together as friends. Many things happened that night, but the most important one right now was about my ex-best friend, Lydia Martin.
We're slowly getting back to talking to each other after she apologized to me about pushing me away. She explained to me that the reason she dropped me was because Jackson kept nagging her about how rude I was to them, when in reality, it was really Jackson. Jackson soon dropped her because he really just wanted to get with Allison and he needed to drop her before getting Allison to drop Scott for wrong, various reasons.
Today, I was awkwardly standing in her hospital room. Mr. Martin was in here along with me, but he was just being a bit too fatherly. "You want help getting in the shower?" I internally cringe at the question he just asked his 16-year-old daughter.
"Maybe if I was four. And still taking bubble baths." Lydia sarcastically replied as I focused my attention on my shoes. I never noticed the way the zipper on the side was actually a fake, huh, the more you know. Right?
"Right, I'll just wait outside then." Mr. Martin said, turning to the door and opening it a bit, "Where it's slightly less sarcastic." If Stiles was awake, I'm sure it'd be better in here.
After hearing the door softly shut, I looked up to see Lydia rolling her eyes with a sigh surpassing her lips. "You good?" I ask, standing up and walking over to her.
"Yeah," She huffed, "I just wish he would have acted like he cared when I was little. You know what I mean?" She said, glancing back and forth between my eyes.
"Sadly, I do know what you mean." I agree. "But hey, the loss of a man in our life, opened our eyes up and showed us that people don't always stay in our lives, even when they're supposed too. It's shaped us into who we are today, and I wouldn't change having you for the world." I smirked, placing a hand on her shoulder in a comforting way.
"Right back at you." She confessed. "I really am sorry that I dropped you like a pair of last seasons shoes." She said. I gave a laugh at her joking ways before wrapping my arms around her shoulders.
"It's alright. We're back together, anyway. Nothing can split us apart." Apart from the fact that she doesn't know I'm a werewolf.
She gave a smile before turning towards the bathroom. "Well, I'm gonna take a shower. Do whatever." She said before disappearing behind the bathroom door. I hear the water turn on and exhale deeply, slouching onto the chair beside the hospital bed.
As I start to doze off, I hear the sound of water splashing in the bathroom. I jumped out of my seat when I could hear her cries being muffled through the door. I walked over to the door, calling her name out. I reached my hand out, getting ready to open the door when she screamed.
I yelped in surprise, my hearing still enhanced from listening in on her. I busted through the door and yelled for her as Stiles and Melissa, followed by Mr. Martin came through. "What the hell was that?" Melissa asked.
I leaned forward and shut the water off while looking around, I spot no Lydia. "Lydia? Lydia?" Stiles called looking around.
"She's gone."
So we called, Sheriff Noah Stilinski to call in a missing person. As the police arrived, everything hit me. Lydia was missing, and we have no idea where she went. My breathing went hard as I started to panic about the outcomes of this problem.
