I was currently sitting on my desk chair in my room, staring into the reflection of my mirror. My mind was buzzing with thoughts as I remembered the phone call I had with Scott a mere two minutes ago that left me with a pain in my chest.
After Deaton had managed to poison the fox inside of Stiles, I had left after Deaton said I was put on bed rest. Stiles had woken up this morning and made up his mind and convinced his father to sign him into Eichen House.
The same place Barrow had been before he escaped and wreaked havoc in our own high school. I was regretting not going and saying goodbye to Stiles since we won't be able to talk to each other for 72 hours.
Scott and Allison were currently trying to help get Argent and Derek out of jail for murder, while I was just sitting here being useless. I had no idea about any type of Katashi or Kincaid or shugendo scrolls. I was pretty much useless with everything at this point.
As I'm staring in the mirror, I can't help but pick out everything I've started to hate about myself.
My long hair, the crinkles by my eyes, the smile lines, and the bags under my eyes from exhaustion. I grab a strand of hair, twirling it between my fingers before getting an idea. While I was not much help, might as well spend my time by making myself feel better.
I grab my keys and head to the nearest, open hair salon. I waltz in and sign myself in before waiting for a stylist to approach me. About 15 minutes later, I'm being seated and my long hair is being chopped into a shoulder length bob.
After she cuts my hair, she asks if I want highlights or something else done to it so I think about it before nodding my head, asking if she can add some red tones in it.
About three hours later, I'm walking out with a smile on my face as I push back my freshly done hair. I make it to my car and drive back home as I prepare to sleep the night away as nothing eventful is happening at the moment.

Waking up the next morning feeling like I got punched, I was momentarily confused when my hair didn't tickle my shoulder blades like normal before I remembered I had cut it the night before. After getting changed into some dark jeans, a black top and a green army jacket, I curl the ends of my hair before applying a little bit of makeup.
I slide on my combat boots before grabbing my keys, grabbing an apple on my way out the door. I make my way to the police station, deciding to try and visit Derek or Argent. I knew that Stilinski wasn't going to be here today because of Stiles, so I decided to talk to my father.
I knock on his office door, finding a few officers were rushing around while others were calm at their desks, "Dad?" I say, catching his undivided attention.
"Hallie? What're you doing here? And what happened to your hair?" He said, glancing at his laptop before turning back towards me.
I glance at the sling his arm was wrapped in before letting out a sigh, ignoring the last question entirely, "Let me get straight to the point, I need to speak to Derek Hale and Chris Argent,"
"Absolutely not," He sternly replied with no hesitation.
"And why not?" I shot back, standing up straight with my arms crossed.
"Because they are being charged with murder and I don't want you around them,"
"There's another one of your bullshit excuses," I chuckled dryly, "by the way, Argent is like a father to me and Derek and I... I know them, I know they're not capable of killing anyone. So, you either allow me access, or I'll just break my way in," I smirked at the reaction on his face.
