"Come on, Hal. You gotta come help set up." Lydia whines as I sit on my phone, replying to Derek's messages.
"I will, just let me finish this message." I groan, typing quickly before hitting send.
"Hallie!" I stood up quickly, pocketing my phone with my hands going up in the air in surrender.
"I'm comin', I'm comin'. Hold your horses, lady." I say, heading over to where Lydia was holding one side of a decoration. I went to the other side and helped her tape it up before we went around her house, the downstairs of course, and decorated anything we could.
We shoved the couches and tables against the walls and set up a small DJ stand in the corner of the living room before taking a few disco lights and fog machines and placing them around the room. I walked into the kitchen and placed the drinks out, at least 50 2-liters were sitting on the counter, along with a small hidden compartment of alcohol, which I stole a bottle for later.
I stashed the bottle upstairs before heading back down and finishing up with the outside, making sure there were the maximum amount of lights hanging up on the outside. I step back, my arms wrapped around me as I grab Lydia's hand in mine.
"We did it!" I say, my breath moving in the air in front of me.
"Yep," She sighs before checking her phone, "With an hour to spare." We hurry inside and start changing into our costumes. She went with a cat costume with ears on her head and a tight body suit that showed off her curves. A tail was attached to her bottom, and sleek black heels adorned her feet. Her hair was pinned into a tight straight ponytail, and her eyeliner had wings with whiskers drawn perfect and sharp on her cheeks.
I went with a police officer, of course, the one that had the tight top, and short shorts. I didn't like showing off too much skin when it came to my legs, but Lydia said I looked hot, so I went with it. I had the holster strapped around my waist, a pair of real handcuffs strapped to it, thanks to Sheriff Stilinski.
The top was a tight cropped, two-button top, with the buttons undone, showing my cleavage, the hem stopping on my rib cage. I had a hat, but I'm not much of a hat person. I pulled on a pair of my black Doc Martens before doing my makeup.
I made a winged look with some mascara before wiping some dark red lipstick on my mouth, making a popping noise before moving to pull my hair out of its braids from the night before. And let's just say that last night, Derek wasn't happy about the fact that he couldn't run his fingers through my hair.
I smirk at the thought, a slight blush overcoming me as I spun around to Lydia who was raising an eyebrow at me, "Now what's going on in that head of yours? Does it have to do with you and your boyfriend?"
I stay quiet with a grin on my face, watching as she squeals, "Oh, Hallie, you're growing up so fast." I give her a look before chuckling.
"After the party, I'm going to his loft after the party, so I can't stay over tonight." I inform her, spinning around to head out the room right after, to avoid the war of question and answer with her.
I make my way down the stairs and to the front of the house, where the doorbell had just rung. I open it up and smirk at all the guys and gals that are chattering on the doorstep.
"Step on in, drinks in the kitchen, dance floor straight ahead!" I shout before going over to the radio and turning on the CD she had specifically made for this night. I cheer with the people as the song Thriller by Michael Jackson starts playing.
